Sorry I haven't replied to this thread in a while. I was stoned out of my gourd when I posted this. Damn even sober me thinks that would be a cool Scifi story. But now an even more interesting question ? How da f**k did type so well when I was so high I couldn't feel my teeth. (This makes sense if y...

I have this idea of a world where somewhere in the timeline Nanotechnology was so able to alter our evolution that it resulted in a large number of different human sub-species. With each one being able to sexually reproduce themselves. Each sub-species would essentially be Homo Sapien but each would...

Maybe ask him if he wants to work for a year before heading to college.

It could just be that your son just doesn't really know what he wants. Perhaps you are pushing too hard on this.

We have impaired Executive Function . We're virtually incapable of planning for the future. Be careful with that, a lot of us aren't incapable of it we just struggle with it. Now it is true that we often do cope with these one struggle at a time. But plenty of us are capable of planning for our fut...

I am a creature, a wretched and twisted thing. A mockery of humanity better left to it's solitude so as to not inflict its vile nature upon the hearts of others. Alone where is I am and alone is where I will stay. I would not haunt others with my pain like monstrosities of days past. The truth of my...

... Refusing to acknowledge the inequality that exists in our society and how this inequality can hold people back can and does make someone a sh***y person. So who's refusing to acknowledge inequality and unfairness? It exists, although I think that some people hold themselves back for believing t...

Contrary to what many conservatives think the world is not fair. http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/88/57/8c/88578c6f4d06264c0d8ecc42d599f545.jpg Good rhetoric, but I think it's missing the point. Actually, believing that life should be fair might make you a miserable person. Life will never be fair. People on the other hand might want to try it. Having said this the main problem with our current system isn't unfairness or people wanting luxurious(doubtful in my experience) handouts. But gre...

Being poor is knowing exactly how much everything costs. Being poor is getting angry at your kids for asking for all the crap they see on TV. Being poor is having to keep buying $800 cars because they’re what you can afford, and then having the cars break down on you, because there’s not an $800 ca...

There was one study where a research team took a look at popular music from the 1950s to the 2010s and found that it's been getting more and more repetitive over the years.

Granted it is only a single study but than it is some evidence in support of the idea that modern entertainment sucks.

This actually the Official Flag of the Confederacy, well originally anyway. http://www.usflag.org/historical/stars.bars.gif What we call The Confederate Flag was originally just one of the many Battle Flags carried by the Southern Regiments until 1863 when the official flag became what we now know t...

Please excuse me if this offends but what does it matter if actually are a "whore". This is the 21st century and this sort of mindset on female sexuality makes absolutely no sense. Now perhaps it makes sense if you are a bronze age desert nomad living in a tribe that must strictly control usage of r...
