I am willing & can go anywhere in the US. There are no facilities close to me that are both good & take insurance. Places I am considering including Michael's House, Asana Women's Recovery, Sovereign, The Center (A Place for Healing), Windhorse, Skyland Trail or Cooper Riis. Does anyone have...

I am in need of a residential treatment program that will take my insurance. It seems that there are many for drug/alcohol abuse and some for depression/anxiety. I have spiraled into a deep depression and have been plagued by severe anxiety of all forms my entire life. I have had many traumatic even...

Thank you for your insight. My husband describes me as a tornado and I know that this is not the best for our daughter. I often do have to write things down, otherwise I tend to sound defensive & attacking to him. It has been scary as I do see him as our stability.

That is so true about working in an outpatient clinic. Knee replacements are so common in that setting & so very painful for people. There are lots of other settings though and it does depend on your particular strengths & deficits as an Aspie. I think we have a ton to offer to patients affe...

We have been in therapy for around 3 years. It was that therapist that realized I may have Aspergers and encouraged me to be tested. From there, I eventually was able to find a psych experienced in autism & have been going since January & working on improving executive functioning skills. He...

I know. I can't afford a place and would have to be given one by taking a travel position which is readily available to me anywhere in the US & abroad with twice the money I can make here as I am in a medical profession with doctoral degree. We pay nothing for where we live now as he literally b...

I bought some products to help out a family member of mine & am finding they are quite good. I am not sure if I want to waste time selling for them or not. I have a good job & all so it would be mainly for the benefit of others. Residual income does sound nice but I really have no experience...

It is all so very complicated. Prior to marriage I was a homeless nomadic traveler and then lived in Christian Hippie communes. I consider myself very non-denominational & greatest inspiration is & always will be St. Francis if Assisi. My husband is very Mennonite & legalistic. We were v...

You should do some volunteer work in several settings. I am a PT & am often torn about how suitable this job is for me. It actually would be perfect except for the state of our healthcare system. As Medicare makes cuts so does private insurance. Then large corporations take over, decrease staffi...

Does anyone have any experience with Jeunesse Global Zen nutritional products? They seem to have great research backing their products but I would like to get some feedback from people that have used their products.

You might consider the direct marketing company Jeunesse Global. I bought some of this companies products to help out a friend of mine. Of course, being an Aspie, I research everything heavily before making decisions. This company has the stem cell research to back up their claims. I was still skept...

Thank you for the reply. I can really relate to what you said. As soon as things get a little out of place I do lose control. It is as if I freeze & am not sure where to start. I love to organize. It really settles me & I tend to get distracted & spend all of the available time to clean ...

I think it is. Both my husband & I are Aspies yet are affected by it in very different ways. I have a lot of difficulty with time management and maintaining a schedule. I often have trouble sleeping & like to stay up late. Our home is very tiny & has no room or place to get away. He is m...

Are there any aspie females that have separate living spaces from your spouse? My husband also has autism, yet is affected by it very differently than me. Due to my issues with time management it can make our home a little chaotic which frustrates him. We also have very limited space in the small ho...

The situation is so confusing to me. We have a very difficult time working together as he sees my ways of doing things less efficient. I majorly hyper-focus on details & have a lot of difficulty dual tasking. When I move to another task, the other will get left undone. This really bothers him &a...

He really does not respond to sympathy or anything emotional, only his wishes being met in concrete ways. The more I become distraught, the less functional I become, I freeze up like a deer in the headlights & am less able to achieve what he wants. It is very hard for me to understand this all o...
