Swiper, do you have to be treated for these conditions while serving in active duty? Only after my diagnosis in the fall of 2014. I ended up having a mental breakdown after I was moved to a small office that was very sensory unfriendly. It has an excessive number of florescent lights and the air ve...

hope you don't mind me asking, but does a medical retirement under these circumstances give you the same benefits as other retirees [pension and health care]? ASD is a non-rateable condition. You can't get discharged from the military for being on the Spectrum, but on the other hand it doesn't give...

I served in the Ohio Army National Guard from 1999 up until 2006. Almost the entire time I went undiagnosed and suffered greatly while in just like high school, only worse. Anybody else? I joined the Army (Active Duty) in 1999. Deployed to both Afghanistan (2004-05, 10 months) and Iraq (2008-09, 14...

I was able to handle more than 15 years in the Army before things came crashing down. I joined in 1999 (undiagnosed) and did quite well at basic training (received several awards) and graduated with honors. Once in the regular Army, I did really well in my field as it suited my special interests. I ...

I think that I'm pretty average looking and definitely not in shape (due to injuries). I don't have a problem with getting NT women to like me. I have been married. Last year I slept with five different women without making any real effort to date. For whatever reason, I'm like a magnet for NT women...

I walk like that a lot. I'm usually content when doing that, but I'm sometimes borderline worried and alert.

I had never heard of ASMR before, but I'm 21 minutes into the 4-hour tingle fest video and I'm close to being in ecstatic frenzy.

I was a bright child, a daredevil, and very extroverted. I talked early and my parents thought I was much brighter than my peers. I was always the first one to volunteer to anything. I always ran as fast as I could to answer the phone. I did crazy stunts on my bike. I was carefree and I had no fear....

When I first did the Aspie Quiz, I only got 104/200. One month later when I had become more accepting of my diagnosis, I got 140/200. I suspect that I will get an even higher score now as I feel like I'm getting more autistic for every single day.

It's by far worse now. I went undiagnosed for 41 years. Yes, it was a bumpy road, but I had a family and a decent job. The last year has been very stressful for me and I finally broke down a few months ago. I just couldn't pass anymore.
