Was told there are three levels of insults people use to gain control. First pick on you "You're fat" "You're ugly" if that doesn't work, they go to step two: make it seem like EVERYONE thinks this way. "Nobody likes you" "Everyone talks about you" if that doesn't work, they go to step three- physic... |

A lot of people speculate me when they see my writing skills. They can't imagine I'm autistic or have as many issues as I do. The only reason my abilities are like that is because I have written for so long. I use writing as a way of expressing myself when verbal and emotional expression fail me. I... |

I eat very fast. used to work in retail management, so never got a real break.
Plus I think chewing is gross- it fills up your mouth with slimy, puffy things. UGH
I drink fast too. Can down an entire 32 ounces of water in one go. |

If it's something special Hubbs and I are doing- then yes. It's like playing dress up. For normal life- not at all. It's hot, sticky and everything itches. I would like to try cosplay though- it sounds fun! But I feel silly because I wouldn't go to a con or anything, just dress up around the house lol |

I have Resting B Face, for sure. I dress 'plainly' and I know that makes me seem a certain way as well. People are very weird about other people's clothing. Apparently clothing has lots of meanings? To me, fabric mostly. I am not 'soft and sweet' looking so do get asked if a lesbian sometimes. Have ... |

nonverbal or losing speech because of not knowing what to say what do you do? I use my AAC to type out words. There's two pathways I have for language and one is disturbed much more than the other. I lose verbal speaking very easily. I lose the ability to type or swipe words much slower. What do yo... |

I'm sorry they threw a dead bird at you. I'm very glad it didn't do physical harm to you!
On the plus side you now have a very cool anecdote to use in the right situation. You could 'win' many an internet joke contest with it. |

I feel like I fit in fine. I feel that some other people here don't want me to fit in, self-diagnosis blah blah blah. :p
I'm happy here. I enjoy reading about people's stuffed animal friends, great stims and watching people help one another. it's nice. |

I do it too. I pick at my face, eyebrows, lips, any dry patch of skin or bumps. I wish I could stop but the best I've done is keep my nails super short so I can't get good traction. When I pick I feel in control of something- like I'm making something better. As opposed to how I usually feel i'm mes... |

I was a compliant child and well-liked by adults because I generally followed the rules. I was also smart and could engage in adult conversation. My social skills among peers, though, was quite different. I was shy around everyone. The question that I got from my mom was "Why are you always so seri... |

Good for him, I say. I hope this brings him some peace in his life and helps him understand himself. I don't care if he gets an 'official' dx- there will always be someone who doesn't believe it anyway. Just be happy, enjoy your life y'know? |

in the 80's- depression mainly. I was hyperlexic so autism was in no way in the picture. The dx wasn't really heard of out here in the country/mountains. in the 90's I was dx ADD. In the 2000's I was dx bipolar, bpd, clinically depressed. Now working on dx for autism/asp. It's taking a long time but... |

I have been purposefully cruel before. I only cared about myself and my own needs; pushing others aside and using them for my own comfort. I am deeply regretful about what I did. |

It makes me sick. Issy's mom's tweets were so nasty and cruel. There are people blogging to support Issy and many parents have joined to show that what Kelli did was wrong. Add me to the "Drains" list! I love taking a long soak in a bubble bath, but as soon as I pull the plug and that big open black hole of a drain is in front of me I have to get out of the tub right away. Something about having that black hole there sucking all the water down into it..... it's hard t... |
