It really depends on the nature of the learning disability that your child has. If your child’s problem is not based in their mental prowess and stems out of an ability to relate to and communicate with others, I’d recommend the Rebecca School (http://www.rebeccaschool.org) located in New York.

It’s nice to see such schools sprouting up. There’s another school by the name of Rebecca School that caters to children with neurodevelopmental delays of relating and communicating, including autistic spectrum disorders. I have heard that it’s pretty good.

My nephew was diagnosed with autism when was 6. His parents enrolled him in a specialized school (Rebecca School or something, if I remember correctly). Thats really a good news because Oxytocin is a hormone produced by the hypothalamus that has affects both the body and the brain. It speeds up childbirth and also strengthens the relationship between a mother and her child.
