Hi guys, you've been a massive source of support with regards to my family breakup and another thing that went on back then over a year ago. Felinelover is back! Where I am currently at: going to court at the end of the month to start custody proceedings to gain access to my child again. I found a n... |

Now that I've been diagnosed with AS, it is blatantly obvious that both my parents are on the spectrum too. Of course they're in denial about this but that's not really my issue here. I just read the new Goop article on Narcissistic parents - I didn't expect it to be good, but it actually was. It de... |

Oh my god. so sorry to read your story. Sounds awful. Give the f****r a kick in the nuts and move out. It's hard to leave your spouse but when they're acting like this it's the best solution. If you scroll thru my previous posts here you'll find I was struggling with similar things in my marriage un... |

All my friends seem at least somewhat neurodiverse in some way.
many of them are unaware of it, tho. But now that I successfully self diagnosed (and subsequently proven right by 3 specialists), I feel qualified to diagnose my friends, although I don't always tell them... |

Thanks for your views. Yep I have totally left. Been living away for several weeks now. Getting my own place soon so can stop being homeless :) It became quite clear to me that there is no hope for us anymore, even though I wanted to try due to conservative family reasons, so going back into the rel... |

That video is just too creepy. I had to stop watching after the first minute, it's simply too disturbing. And I enjoy Eli Roth's movies so that says something. But I still don't get where these people get their weird ideas from that Autism is comparable to aids or whatever they compare it to on the ... |

So why is this evil organisation so popular? I find this especially interesting because in this day and age it's accepted that, for instance, gays and transgender people have the right to be themselves; and the still recent times when such people were made to have 'treatment' for their 'condition' a... |

Welcome! How admirable that you're dealing with this in such a mature way and caring and loving way. Check out '22 things a woman must know: if she loves a man with AS'. It's a great book - I got it to understand my dad. Rudy Simone's books are written in such a friendly and enlightening way and the... |

My father is a textbook Aspie case. I mean, the exact stereotype, in every single way. It's funny that now I've been diagnosed he sort of believes I have it, but is in total denial about having it himself, and so is his wife (my mum). He did make the most of it tho. Got rich through computers and al... |

Wonderful story, thank you for sharing. Another aspie trait my son potentially has, then. As a toddler he got up every morning demanding the "brrrm brrm' (ie hoover) to be put on, and when it was turned off he would cry until it was back on.... He is undiagnosed and I am unsure whether he's act... |

Where in the world are you based? PM me if you like. It makes a difference what kind of acting group you get into. What I found helpful when I started acting at 14-15 was that I went to an acting group where we did plays, whilst on another week day going somewhere else to a training class that speci... |

Yes, acting is a great hobby for aspies! Here are my observations: 1) Acting brings you out of your shell. It helps you develop your social persona and experiment with them and it also gives you the confidence to go out and socialise. Acting changed my life several times, when I was in my teens - th... |

That's really bad and definitely not "normal" nor acceptable. The way your parents abandoned you and the way your mum harasses you and blames you for "ruining her life"... Wow, that's seriously messed up. I am so sorry you've had to go through this. You should be treated with res... |
