I really enjoyed the book Freak, Geeks and Aspergers syndrome. But someone told me that the author Luke Jackson committed suicide. I hope this isn't true. Does anyone know? |

That is an absolutely unfair and a very "not nice" thing for her to say. First of all, unless you have another child on the spectrum, it is impossible to recognize the signs of autism/aspergers. Actually, even IF you have another child on the spectrum, people are all so different it's hard to compar... |

Well you don't want to come across as if you're complaining or demanding and you have to appear flexible (even if you don't feel that way!) Make it VERY casual. Wait until about 30 minutes before lunch and then casually walk by one of them (as if it's by chance) and say "Do you want to grab something for lunch today? I was thinking about going to ......" |
