These type of jerks will exploit anything and anyone. Some parents will even make their kid physically sick on purpose to get attention (NT kids or Autistic kids; it doesn't matter to them). But I hear you; exploiters look for loopholes, so if they know you have autism, they will use it against you,...

I don't think there is anything wrong with a parent getting support from other parents. If people pat each other on the back, it doesn't necessarily mean that they have contempt for others; they are just acknowledging each other's struggles. Some people have a 'destroy the evil autism' attitude thou...

A man walked past me carrying his coat all bunched up, as if he was concealing something in his coat, something round, the size of a door knob. I moved out of the man's reach when I passed by him and when I turned to look at him, I got a better look at him carrying his coat in this odd way. It looke...

Just like not all people who've been abused become abusers, not all people with AS are abusive; that's the bottom line.

His behaviour sounds abusive. And by the way, Asperger people can be abusive just like anybody else. Behaviours like not liking soft touch, or shrugging off a caress would be an autistic trait but not slamming someone into a car; no way; that's abuse.

How did your friend hurt you emotionally? Did your friend apologize and show remorse? Did you tell her exactly what she said or did that bothered you? Just because someone 'acts' nice does not mean they are nice so don't feel pressured to put up with someone because they are nice to you after they h...
