I find I really struggle with planning and organization this is by far my most disabling ASD related issue, although sensory issues and chronic irritability are a close second. I have read this is common with ASD individuals. What are your guys experiences with planning and organizational deficits? |

I've read a few studies that indicate that there are discrepancies between Iq and Adapative Functioning in high functioning autism. Adaptive skills are often lower than the individual's iq would suggest, I know this is case with me my iq is in the low average to average range but my adaptive skills ... |

Something I feel like I don't deserve a support worker to help with daily living skills and other accomidations I mean my Iq is average so I should be functioning better. I feel like using supports that I don't deserve. I am also afraid of losing these supports. Does any one else feel like this? |

Nope, but I am on Dexedrine which is dextroamphetamine which is a stimulant like Ritalin/methylphenidate. I find Dexedrine really helps me calm down, focus and control my impulses and emotions better. 2 of my best friends were on Ritalin and had a horrible time with it. One ended up being allergic t... |
