Seems like you had a run with the as*hole of your local music scene. Don't let it discourage you. From my experience, the hardcore/metal scene tends to welcome newcomers with open arms. Once you're in though, you're a brother for life!

It's 4chan infecting the mainstream. People have been slinging "autism" around as an insult on there for ages, and it's starting to leak out into the rest of the Internet, along with other aspects of 4chan culture. So, if anything is contagious, it's not autism... it's 4chan. :P It annoys...

As far as the country of Turkey itself, you don't have too much to worry about. It's very safe for tourists The sketchy part for me is that some guy who you "know" on eBay just up and decides to offer you a plane ticket to a foreign country halfway around the world...that throws up all kin...

Even if vaccines are somehow related to some cases of autism, I'd still have to say that autism beats the hell out of contracting diseases such as polio and smallpox.

The ole' straw man fallacy is probably one of the most used tactics in any internet debate. It is what it is.

Nah, even if these posts drove me batshit crazy, I still wouldn't support full on censorship of said posts.

I'm an assistant manager at a Discount Tire. Decent pay, good benefits, not to mention I get 2.5 weeks of paid vacation every year(not including holidays). I'm also the lead vocalist of a heavy metal band...though, this is more of a hobby at the moment. We still turn a profit on merch though. :D

If you feel that your boss is unfairly singling you out, then feel free to go over HR's head and report him. A lot of companies have specialized hotlines for workplace hazing/harassment. If you feel that quitting is in your absolute best interest, then go that route. Just be sure that you have anoth...

First off, if your roommate is threatening to use physical violence against you, that's where you need to draw the line. Next time it happens, call the police. PERIOD! Also, perhaps you could try recording some of the stuff that your roommate is saying to you, then you can playback the recording to ...

Tell them that, in order to get a refund, they'll need to ship the item back to you. If they're truly trying to scam you, then that should deter them.

Lol, it's always fun to point out that really atheistic countries(Sweden, Norway, Finland, ect.) have almost no natural disasters, aside from maybe snowstorms, while the U.S is one of the most natural disaster plagued countries in the world. You'll find that Christians can't change the topic fast en...

I find myself laughing at taboo subjects as well. I've always just kind of attributed it to me having a slightly morbid sense of humor sometimes. As far as how to stop it, I'm not really sure if there's a way to... it's kind of hardwired into the brain. I mean, you could probably throw a bunch of mo...

I disagree. When you look at how many families have firearms in the home and compare it to how many of these occurrences unfold, you find that it's actually pretty rare for children to accidentally kill/injure someone with an unsecured gun. These two events that you've shown though, are clearly inci...
