I love my big wind chime. I wish we could get more wind in the summer so it'd chime more. That said, I don't know what the neighbours think of it... My neighbours are all very quiet. Yes and I love playing Hawaiian music. Maybe I should start playing hawaiian music on my balcony 24/7 - loud enough ...

Earplugs would work. That's what I do when I'm at home and distracted by sound. Yes, but don't they hurt your ears over time? That's been my experience. Plus I overlook a lake and there are lots of interesting water birds out there that I like to hear. I'd have to always miss out on that. I guess t...

I've been there--but I was lucky because the wind chimes were on my own porch, hung by my landlord. They're in a drawer and out of the way. I wish I could figure out a solution for you. They're very annoying. One time some neighbors put chimes on a tree a few feet from their porch. I did a 3:00 a.m...

I'd passive agressivly hang some even louder windchimes. It might make you crazy for a while, but I think they might get annoyed with that. That's just me...but I like windchimes...so that might not work for you. :? I don't know -- these people shout and laugh loud all the time and have friends on ...

I live in an apartment, and neighbors in an adjacent building, very close, have put up very loud wind chimes. A few months ago I left them an anonymous note on their door saying very politely I was a neighbor and was wondering if they would please consider taking down their wind chimes since I am bo...

I wonder if it would be easier if, instead of claiming Aspergers, you obtain a diagnosis for an unspecified autisic spectrum disorder, or maybe tourettes, or maybe high to mid functioning autism? Actually, as I look at it more and think about it more, I think my problem is in fact a general autisti...

Another thing I can’t stand is wind chimes. They drive me up the bloody wall. I can’t believe some people find them soothing. Oh yeah!! wind chimes. another thing I hate as well. I like to sit on my balcony enjoying a nice breeze and peace and quiet. Neighbors with wind chimes violate my right to d...

guess I hate most noises that people can make with their mouths (gum chewing and popping, potato chip crunching, soup slurping, etc.) ARGH! ME TOO!! ! It's hard to explain exactly how I feel when hearing that kind of stuff, but it's a mixture of extreme anger and revulsion. Hate whistling, hate eat...

That's a big reason why I'm such a hermit. I've learned not to bother complaining because it never does any good. :x Same here. And in the workplace, not only does it do no good, but it can actually work against you. You get labeled as an overly sensitive troublemaker and it comes back to haunt you...

Last year at my apartments there were some painters painting a nearby building in the complex. I absolutely hate hearing whistling for more than like 10 seconds. One of the painters whistled loudly all day long. I refrained from complaining that day, but they were back the next, and the guy was whis...

I trade stocks at home. It's worked out for me for 3 years, but lately is a little worrisome. If I get it to work consistently it's a perfect job for me. No social interaction. Can come and go as I please. No strict schedules. Pretty much the same routine every day, generally speaking. Always new op...

I'm new here. 53 year old male. Never thought in terms of having aspergers until the last couple years (had never heard of aspergers). Just thought I was nuts. But as I think back and remember my life it seems more and more like aspergers. Have a law degree (finished near bottom of my class because ...
