spot on, dazzlekitty. as i said previously: having a great and lovable mind isnt an excuse for not getting the rest up to par. aspergers isnt, either.
side note: is your nickname somehow related to the paint scheme that was applied to military ships in the past: dazzlepaint? |

ouinon: bravo! :) also, good point about setting long-term goals. indeed, thats an issue i see a lot on any level of fitness afficionado: reevaluating of "why the hell am i doing this anyway?" you get that from any everyday gym-goer up to competitive powerlifters and the like... another thing that p... |

the german way, obviously... that also means that the 'a' doesnt sound like in 'ass' but rather like the 'u' in 'grunt'. the 'e's are the sound of the 'e' in 'believe' and, as mentioned, hard 'g'. |

i see your point, veresae. i dont get much of what is considered to be "hawt" (why arent things or people called "beautiful" anymore?), too. one of my key gripes is the current beauty ideal for women. its like you built a house of all the "fancy" lego bricks, ending up with a weird, disharmonic mish... |

it's a damn good excuse, because it's true. i tend to disagree. aspergers may have something to do with the problem, but its no excuse for not getting his rear end moving. his girlfriend has s severe problem with it, so if he has the least bit of feelings for her, he should be as concerned as she i... |

I do consider myself a goth. I'm not a COMPLETE goth--I don't act exactly like every other goth, don't like every little thing that most goths like. And I also consider myself a geek. that sums me up quite well, veresae. :) id definitely say im associated to the scene somehow, but not to the degree... |

you can try some of the exercises (pressing ones, such as the get-up usually work better) witha dumbbell. the ballistic movements like swings etcetera dont work that well that way. if you are looking for a back/shoulder exercise, those may be more along the lines of what you're looking for anyway. :) |

ouinon: a kettlebell is a tool that looks like a cannonball with a handle, made of cast iron. google sure finds some images. for kb swings, you stand, feet about shoulder width apart, and swing the kettlebell from between your legs (like a football hike pass) up forward to your chest level. key is n... |

i agree with jeyradans points very much - good description! as for me... yeah, it tends to be easier with people i know well. that odd feeling of eye contact, somehow vulnerable and deep-shaking, is a bit easier when i know that i dont have anything to be afraid of that person. another point that i ... |

good thread idea, guys/girls! sometimes, its easier doing exercise with a partner, so you cant chicken out of your plan as easily - but at least i dont want to have someone around all the time when i train, so posting results on a thread may be a great solution. :) as for myself: today was endurance... |
