Yes, I feel as though I may just be a little hyper-everything at the moment.
Thank you for all your replies, it's informative to know I'm not the only one.

Tremendously introverted, and proud.
Because of this, inside my head, I can make my own worlds. It's why I write, and I think why I am called a genius regularly.

Hello Fellow Atypicals, I think this is common, but I thought I might just check. When I get anxious - mainly as soon as I leave the house, but occasionally during stresses at home that correlating with keeping to my routine, - the skin all over my body, but especially my scalp and my torso get horr... |

I find heavy handed parents very hard to have to listen to. For me, the worst sounds, are the little quiet noises in a room with hard walls, and hard floors. Interestingly your replies to the topic correlate with one another, but not in the way I assume you two will understand. What I meant by &quo... |

I understand this. On occasion, I like to fall asleep listening to certain videos of people talking, but there has to be a certain ... tone in the voice[s], and certain accents frustrate me. |

The gradual noise buildup however, can be effectively managed if you recognise your symptoms leading up to shutdown or meltdown, and exit or otherwise protect yourself from the bombardment as effectively as possible. Just recognise when protection is no longer sufficient and exit is the only viable... |

My religious belief is islam Thank you for telling me. Maybe you're right, I never really meet people and if I do I never talk about philosphy or those things or talk to them much to know about them and their way of thinking I'm the same now. I managed to speak and be around people during my adoles... |

Aspergers is not a disease. Sorry about that :/... i was really tired when i wrote that... It's no problem, tiredness can affect humans in peculiar ways, the other day, I got stuck on repeating the word "Shrune". I whispered it probably fifty times to myself whilst I was urinating ... it ... |

I do believe in an absolute truth (religion) and most of my philosphy and thoughts are derieved from my religion. May I enquire as to what religious beliefs you abide by? You don't have to say if you don't want to. I don't think philos[o]phy is something to be learned or taught because it has no ru... |

There is no right or wrong way of looking at Philosophy, I myself have been through a few stages I listed, but I think after some time, the open-minded stage is a good place to sit and a stage that comes naturally to each individual who holds even the slightest of curiosity. However, sometimes you c... |

For the elitist - Variations on the correct and ideal ultimate knowledge, and means of living life and one's outlook. For the intelligent - It's a means to study the borders of one's own knowledge, and to push one's own cognitive boundaries. It's a way of understanding what one thinks one understand... |

Apparently my last reply decided not to post, so here I go again. Other: All of the above, except silence. - Indeed, I struggle with all sound, to a great extent, but I wanted to do a poll to see if others like myself can pinpoint just one sound they dislike the most. Was a toss-sup between dog bark... |

It's an interesting thought, but I am inclined to say that Aspergers does affect what music I listen to. I listen to two types of music really, and only three artists, Aphex Twin, Luke Vibert (and all his aliases), and Venetian Snares. The two types of music I listen to are Ambient and IDM. On the a... |
