I remember things people say to me verbatim and when (if) I bring it up to remind them for whatever reason, nine times out of ten they blatantly deny it 100%. As in, "I never said that, I would never say anything like that, you're wrong". It used to mess with my head and I felt like I was ... |

is there a particular food you do enjoy, a lot? And what for? Nothing. for the moment that you do have your nails painted. i assume it's longer than the time it takes to pain them, so there is indeed worth IMO. yep, human beings are creatures and they have to this disguuuuusting fuel-intake-followe... |

And, the way things interfere with things and "what's the point?" For example: I enjoy painting my nails as I'm into beauty products. But, i haven't been able to do so for weeks while in this mindset/phase because I don't know when I will need to use my hands and I don't want to smudge the... |

Yeah, I have problems with weeing, as in- I don't realise how long I hold on until I'm busting, or I feel like I need to go all the time, which I then do- but nothing comes out. Depends on the situation and what type of anxiety I am feeling on that particular day. Then I get more anxiety about just ... |

Same. In fact, it's one of the things I hate about being around other people. I have a low tolerance for "neediness" and it seems like everything people do in life is based on this kind of insatiability. The need to eat, sleep, toilet, move, talk, reproduce, etc. On and on. To the point wh... |

Welcome to the forum, I'm new too. I joined out of unbearable loneliness. You do sound coherent and aware and people say I am too, but in my case those traits prevented others from offering compassion and assistance to me for so many years. I lived in a halfway house for the last two years of highsc... |

I read the title of this thread and thought "Yes, I rock therefore I am", like this was an affirmative feel-good topic. Then I opened it and saw it was about moving/rocking motion   I wasn't conscious of it until recently but in the past have been told I am fidgety/restless. I f... |

Of course this is just my opinion, but I kind of view the treatment of Autism like some sort of palliative care. I can work really hard to keep the worst at bay, ease the symptoms of it and improve certain aspects/quality of life, but the condition itself never goes away/lets up. To me, it's more pe... |

Hmm I tend to think that social media is like an even more complex structure than communicating in real life because there is so much assumed and the information people choose to put out there is always strategic. It's greedy and needy. So, I am a loner. Not popular in real life or online. At all. (... |

Earlier, I think someone mentioned double standards. It angers me that while it's not socially acceptable to comment on an overweight person's body, it's somehow still okay to say rude things to people who are more petite. I've been told—twice, I believe—that 'a small wind would blow me away'. I do... |

I am a 29 year old female, officially diagnosed September 2014. For as long as I can remember I have struggled at life in every way except academically. It never occurred to me that I may be autistic until one day I went for a coffee with my best friend (my only real friend) and became quite upset a... |
