I'm listening to COMPLETE SOLO PIANO ON COLUMBIA 1962-68 by the one and only Thelonious Monk. And jolly good it is too.

A great monologue. Hearing it on a recording is even better. It reminds me of the Dead Kennedys' song "Too drunk to f**k" which got banned all over the place. When asked about the furore, Jello Biafra said "I think the people objecting to it are the people it's happened to".

It's thought that Syd Barrett had AS but he was never diagnosed. Several people who knew him point to his speech/behaviour patterns as rendering it a distinct possibility.
