Hi everyone, I am currently at the point where I want to schedule an assessment. The problem is that am fairly high functioning adult so I want to make sure I select an experienced doctor that will be able to detect my Aspie traits. I've already seen a general neuropsychologist for an ADD assessment... |

I was just recently diagnosed as major depressive disorder and mild cognitive impairment.
Is this something that is common with Asperger's since I never mentioned it during the neuro assessment? |

Is there anything you need at work you think an assessment would help with that you can't get now? I have an easy way of dealing with office noise--I just shut the door to my office. :D It really is just my self assurance and wanting that 100% confirmation Yeah I wish I could but I live in cubicle ... |

I stumbled across aspergers around a year ago and ever since became obsessed with it. I have taken aq test and got around a 42 if I remember correc... |

Hello I am 23 and work as an engineer. I have some questions about sensory issues I have been experiencing and if it seems like textbook ASD or more ADD. Some background on the work environment first. I work upstairs in a manufacturing building with about 6 other cubicles. The noise from the floor i... |

I love to bend caps in half like the bud light ones or tops of water bottles. With water bottles after bending it in half I like to grind the cap on the nozzle of the bottle. It feels good on my fingers and also the noise is very stimulating. I often do the water cap stim in cafeteria type settings ... |

Didn't know if it was anxiety related or if more common in aspies but I twitch almost throughout the entire day. My legs muscles, forearms, calves etc. they are both rythmic and spastic.
Anyone else experience similar issues? |

I'm not just talking about while walking, It involves everything including when my hand, or hands are hanging off the edge of a surface such as a bed, table, etc.
It just feels odd like I need to be touching or feeling something.
Is thing is aspie thing or just specific to me? |

I knew it had to be a popular thing. I just wonder how much it possibly bothers an NT as well |

This one for me is a major sensory challenge. As soon as I hear that drill wine at high speeds it sends an electric shock-like sensation through my body. I actually wince during these moments.
Is this an aspie thing? |

I've thought about this topic all night and how not to offend anyone. One of my big special interests/obsessions is to become highly educated. I can't pass as an NT and I'm not sure I'm smart enough to tackle college/university and find work. Would you say you were able to find and keep work or bec... |

Do other people sit with one foot on top of the other? I read somewhere that it was common for aspies to sit with one foot 90 degrees from the floor with the other foot horizontal on top. I do this all the time, especially when I'm bored :o Yes and also I curl my toes underneath my foot when seated... |
