The OP was a bit of a low blow, but if he had worded it better I think he would have made a point with the superiority idea some posters have. I can understand wanting to have some kind of defense, but I think some people take the whole "let's look down on normal people socializing is for idiots" th...

I can understand some of the concern. It's natural for people to be social, and autism hurts that development. At the same time, strides must be taken to see that people with autism are still treated with dignity.

Not all loners are "content" with being alone. :(

Not too afraid of a backlash. There wasn't one after Columbine, won't be one here.

I'm doing better in social situations, but I still have a ways to go. Like being less dependent on liquid courage to not be nervous at parties.

I don't have any allergies that I know of, but I do have a sensitivity to the sugar substitute Splenda. Makes my stomach hurt like hell if I accidentally drink anything with splenda in it.

Star Wars for the longest time, 5th grade until I started high school really. That led to an obsession with trading card games, starting with Star Wars and going on to Magic and currently with VS System and Heroclix. Sometimes it gets to the point where I try to design my own, and I reorganize my co...

I think someone with social anxiety could probably score kinda high even if they didn't have AS, but at the same time there is a lot of stuff in there that doesn't have to do with social anxiety to balance it out. It's possible, but I agree with the above poster that even if they aren't aspie, there...

Yeah, sometimes. I wish I had an easier time with having a social life. I do enjoy whatever my narrow interests are, but it is frustrating to feel like I'm so behind socially compared to others my age.

Another thing that stood out to me about the test, the question about rainy weather. Because I love it when it is overcast. I'm much more comfortable when it is cooler out. Looking back over the questions: -I definitely spend much more time listening to and observing people and things around me than...

I love overcast weather. Sunny days get so boring, and I feel more comfortable when it is a bit cooler out.

There's not enough evidence to say one way or another. Being a loner is something noted with AS, but it does not necessarily mean every loner has AS.

I get the vibe that some people look down on NT's too much as well. It comes off as really wanting to think of yourself as superior to boost your self esteem, when really we are all people, some are just wired a little differently. Seeing as the NT's make up a large majority of the population, it's ...

When I first heard about AS I wondered whether it was a possibility if I had it or not. At the same time, other sites have pointed out that so many claims are self diagnosed, when it could just be social ineptitude and not something to do with brain functions. I just took the test and got these resu...

Male, self diagnosed, although I'm really not very sure so I don't even want to consider myself self diagnosed.
