I consider myself a still a python novice, but I've found it to be useful for quick prototypes, knitting things together, building test scripts etc. I don't use if for anything that has to have fast performance (although I understand there are good techniques for improving python performance). Howev...

Thanks and welcome quirkyboy! It is kind of a rush at first--finding so many people you can identify with. Then you'll find some comfortable places to hang out.

Lava lamps are great! My youngest son (who is AS) and I used to watch his lava lamp instead of reading bedtime stories. We had the sequence of all the patterns figured out as the temperature of the lamp rose. There is a lava lamp store next to a Cheesecake Factory restaurant in a southern Maryland m...

Hello richie! Nice to meet you. ------------------------ My first Perservatore experiment met with mixed results. On a scale of 1-5, the taste was a 4.5, they smelled great, but looks rated about 3.0 For the first try, I used large shells. I boiled them in water with a little sugar to make them tast...

The real estate in the cranium is too valuable to go to waste. Because space in the brain is at such a premium, enhanced capabili...

evolution, not revolution?
It seems to me that NTs evolved to be wired the way they are because there was an early survival benefit.
Maybe AS wiring is the next evolution, but we don't yet clearly recognize the benefit....

The old defrag display has always been one of my faves, I still watch it on my old computer.
I also like to put interesting audio CD's in the computer and watch the Window's media player.
A couple of days ago, I put on a "meditation sounds video" with lots of theta wave sounds--very nice.

Over the years I've gotten much better at decoding body language and facial expressions, but it requires conscious effort. Sometimes I don't track what the other person is saying, because I'm distracted by trying to decode their expressions. It tires me when I have to do it for hours. Knowing that a...
