College student? That was over 40 years ago. But I am in the IT field (that seems so stereotypical doesn't it). I will just have to be much more careful what I say or just not speak at all at certain times.

It is my understanding that we are a protected class according to the Americans With Disabilities Act, so with that in mind, should I inform my human resources director that I have been diagnosed with Asperger's? I ask this because I have been called to my supervisor's office at least three times be...

Today was the annual company picnic. I had been dreading this day for months now. When I first got there I did the few greetings of people I had to say hello to (my boss and the other people in my workgroup) and set out to find a place to settle in where I could be left alone. I brought my own camp ...

When I listen to music that contains vocals, I find that I am far more interested in the way it sounds than what the lyrics are. Most of the songs that I really like I have no clue what the song is about. The Carole King song "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" is a good example, When she s...

My only exception is Simon and Garfunkel because I can relate to many of the lyrics that Paul Simon wrote, such as "I am a Rock" and "Sounds of Silence".

I would not. I am who I am and I happen to actually like myself. It took me a while to get to this point, and now that I have, I am happy with who I am. The other thing is that I don't know how NTs actually function with having to deal with all of the emotional baggage that they have to carry. There...

i suspected that I was an Aspie for about a year now. I thought I was just weird (as most people said I was) but after watching the tv show Parenthood where a character named Hank realized as an adult that he had Asperger's. It took me a year to get up the courage to seek a diagnosis. I was most afr...
