In my teens and early twenties I had a german shepherd and 2 cats that all slept on top of me. I prefer sleeping on a couch or sofa so I can burrow into the cushions, but that doesn't go over well with my husband. Now, I have a cat that sleeps on top of me, a comforter and a couple of extra blankets...

My cousin's son is the only one (except me) with an official diagnosis, but my mom, brother, maternal grandmother and both of my potential fathers (there's a story) show a variety of symptoms that fall on the spectrum.

I had a few outbursts when I was younger... the worst is something of family legend... at 3 I threw a full size folding table at my pre-school teacher because she scribbled on my picture with the wrong crayon. My brother had more frequent outbursts which was really hard on him since he's a hardcore ...

My brother had speech delay, but I didn't. He was put into an early childhood program at 4 because of his temper. One of the teachers there specialized in working with both intellectually gifted and Autistic children. She told our parents that he seemed to fit both categories, and that she would say...

I've had the same problems my whole life. Being left-handed made it easier to justify to others (and myself). People seem to accept my alternate dominance theory (my left is your right) better than I'm an adult and can't tell left from right if I'm doing it for someone else.
