I was wondering what had happened with this as the doctor had stated last year he would be performing the surgery on the human patient late last year. I did crack-up reading this from the OP's article:

Quote:
Canavero says he intends to make a plea to Mark Zuckerberg to finance the surgery...

+3 which is good considering today marks the anniversary of my little brother's death 7 years ago. This is actually the best I've felt since his passing. I'm not sure why but out of all my family I feel like I'm the least devastated by it, there were factors leading up to his death which prepared me...

I am more worried about getting shot by a random stray bullet from some of the domestic terrorists - i.e. gang members - that live in my neighborhood than any "terrorists" here in Houston. Sadly, the powers that be have cowed the people into allowing their freedoms to be taken away under t...

The Circumcision Ambulance?! !! I actually thought it was a joke until I clicked on the link and read the article. Can you picture the crooks in jail after being apprehended - "What are you in for?" "We stole the Circumcision Ambulance..." I did laugh at some of the comments... &...

My current special interests are forums, disabilities, learning about how people interact and behave, and Choose Your Own Adventure books. Choose Your Own Adventure books! I loved those as a kid, my mom ran the children's section of a bookstore at the time they first were published and I had a grea...

Alright guys, here's the scoop: The day after, I texted, no reply. Then the next day, I called, no reply. Nothing from her since that day at the mall. GAME OVER. What I learned from this experience is: Getting a girl's number means only half the battle is over, after I get it (if I'm lucky enough t...

I'd respond and ask who it was, it's probably an old friend who relocated - if not, then just block the number.

Only once did I ever see a near rape occur, I had been working security at a large club for about two years and management decided we'd run after-hours on Saturdays - the first Saturday we did this we had maybe 200 people still in the club @ 4am and as I was doing a walk-through I noticed a group of...

+4 - Not bad considering how I've been feeling lately, my second job has been causing me a ton of anxiety and thankfully the guy I'm working for is headed-out of town for a few days so there isn't the looming possibility he will contact me with a new project or something and that kind of puts me at ...

Pffft I could make do on 20K, it's just that I've had to mete out equitable amounts of 'stonewalling' to those people who would have me work for peanuts. My dad emailed me a posting about some university IT support gig at $11.00/hour and all I said was to eat those words. That wage wouldn't even pa...

Well, that's pretty much the reason restrooms were invented but I do get what you are saying, if there is a line - I'd say as long as the person just takes care of their business and doesn't spend an inordinate amount of time in there there is nothing wrong with it. Myself, personally - I'd try to a...
