This is REALLY traumatic for the girls. I totally understand their reaction. They WERE molested and there is no point denying that. Getting this behind them is not an easy process. It'd do you good to read some child sexual abuse literature to understand how deep this kind of trauma goes and what th... |

I admit I'm biased since I'm philosophically opposed to her "Objectivism" (which is oddly enough, extremely subjective and solipsist) and I loath her as a person, largely because she often failed to consider the consequences of her actions on others, either willingly to not. I see her like Hilter o... |

I avoid arguments because most people who argue just do it because they like to, not because they have something interesting to say. And it's damn impossible to convince them of anything, they will always make some ridiculous claim and ask you to prove it's not so, or, worse yet, turn it into a pers... |

I think Western medicine doesn't understand the mind-body connection which cannot be explained by the current state of science and our society tends to dismiss anything that it cannot explain. I wouldn't be surprised if abuse could cause neurological changes. Adults sexually abused as children, for... |

Do you mean to say I don't like myself? Sometimes I don't, but I've grown to be content most of the time. I'm just not happy with my social life. |

I was thinking that autism and AS could really at the root be caused by child abuse, or even distress inflicted on a child (an infant actually) that wouldn't normally be even considered abuse. I've been recently interested in Jungian psychology, and perhaps an early abusive episode, even at the age ... |

People with AS don't mention publicly that they can be extremely egoistic. I'm thinking mostly about the videos I saw on YouTube. Of course, the public campaign is aimed at soliciting sympathy and egoism is not an appealing trait, but I also think an egoistic person by definition wouldn’t know that ... |

the machine gun practice we had at high school 8O Come again? Did I hear you right? Mandatory military education. Good old Soviet Union. Oddly enough, I had never seen any live shows before coming to the US. My first was a free KROQ show, Ruth Ruth and Everclear at Santa Monica beach in 1995. It was very loud and my ears had been ringing for a couple days after that. The only thing louder was the machine gun practice we had at high s... |

Hmm. Ken, I strongly disagree. Accepting dates from incompatible people is the most direct path too disappointment. You have to lose the desperate attitude and accept and love yourself first of all. Then you'll learn to be more discriminating and that's really the key. I wrote an ad that repelled mo... |
