Can I give you an NT perspective on this? Did you ever know a boy in elementary school who teased you, kicked you, made fun of you, and was a general nuisance to you? That boy liked you. And for some unknown reason, even grown men really seem to enjoy teasing women, and they never ever know when to ... |

I recommend Songs of the Gorilla Nation by Dawn Prince-Hughes. It is her journey, more than it is a clinical kind of book, which might be a bit more subtle. You could just say....hey I read this great book and I really liked it thought you might like it too....it might help. Oh, I think this is per... |

Imagine that were I in position of the woman & someone tried to say "this might be your problem" I'd be pretty pissed off & resentful. Not faulting your (original poster's) motivation, only honestly saying how I'd react. Eventually (hours, days, weeks) my emotions would lessen, curiousity w... |

Hi! I posted a while ago about a co-worker of mine who I suspect has AS. (I am an NT.) I really appreciate the help and insight you offered to me at the time, and I would like to ask you for a little more help, if you will indulge me. When I posted before, a lot of you mentioned that this co-worker ... |

>she should know by now that "getting some" is not a top priority for me. There's a pattern of me >saying that it isn't that important. I don't know, maybe she doesn't believe me? It could be as simple as her wanting company. However, I am a non-aspie woman, and I can tell you that it's quite possib... |

Wow. I actually purposely tried NOT to use metaphors in my postings here. Guess I missed a few. And no, B isn't actually physically stepping on anyone. LOL. I have no idea whether I use metaphors talking to B. Probably so, since it seems I can't NOT use them even when I try. Thanks for the tip; I'll... |

>1- It is none of anyone's business what B does at a party. Parties are not a part of his job. It was a company party, which kind of IS work, if you know what I mean. In that one's presence or absence or behavior at such events can reflect on promotions, etc. Sad but true. (I actually hate those thi... |

It's the OP again. Thanks to all who have replied so far, and I'm so relieved that no one was bothered by anything I said! I was worried about that. Interesting that you all assumed that I'm B's boss; I'm not. I'm just someone B works with on occasion. I have had issues with B since B has been emplo... |

Hi, everyone. I hope it's OK for me to post this question. I am an NT who works with a person (we'll call this person "B") who I suspect has Asperger's. This didn't occur to me until quite recently, but the more I look into this, the more I believe that this may in fact be the case. I'll be honest: ... |
