I heard recently that WrongPlanet's Autism Talk TV feature is funded by Autism Speaks, but cannot find any further proof to back up this claim. Can anyone here please tell me if it's true or not? EDIT: Wait, there's a clear Autism Speaks logo at the end of one of the videos along with WrongPlanet's ... |

Kidnapped? Since when was having autism anything like being kidnapped? We have different ways of thinking and different sets of abilities to the rest of the population, but that doesn't mean we've been "kidnapped", or that having autism is a crisis. That's like describing a national crisis of people... |

A few days ago I went to have my hair cut for the first time in years, and decided that rather than keeping it at its usual near-waist length, I would have it cut short (just above my shoulders). At the time I was really pleased with how it looked, and I still am, but the change of it all is also st... |

I was born in 1986, so I have very vague memories of being a toddler and watching She-Ra, Thundercats, Raggy Dolls and Transformers (as well as many other cartoons which I won't list due to not wanting to take up too much space). I love watching intros to cartoons that I used to love, and seeing the... |

Tennis for Two - Arguably the first video game ever created. It was a very simple tennis game, developed in 1958 as an experimental game to entertain visitors to Brookhaven National Laboratory. It used one of the laboratory's supercomputers to accurately calculate trajectories, and the graphical dis... |

I've had something like that happen to me recently. I have a phobia of plastinated bodies, and ever since I heard that an exhibition of them is coming to my city I've been trying to desensitise myself to images of it (I know that I don't have to go to the exhibition itself, but there are also poster... |

I tend to think in pictures and abstract non-visualised thoughts that I can't really explain. I do sometimes think in words, but only really when I'm imagining a conversation or planning a sentence to say to someone (I have to plan my speech in advance if it's more than just a generic sentence, or e... |

I tend to pronounce it with a very short, barely-there "A" (almost more like "uh" than "a") and a hard "G". Also, I stress the second syllable (so basically, "asPERger"). I don't know if it's meant to be pronounced that way, but it's what I grew up with and whenever I pronounce it like that people s... |

45% and 54%. I've always known that I'm bad at recognising people, but I didn't realise that I was quite as bad as that! |

A Korean pop song called "Note" (by SHINee). I found it while I was looking for the BBC Sherlock series on iTunes, and decided to check it out. It turned out to be very catchy!

I have a phobia of plastinates (plastinated bodies like the ones in Body Worlds, for those who haven't heard of the term before), but until now it hasn't really bothered me as exhibitions featuring them have stayed away from my city. Then a couple of days ago my Mum told me that one of the exhibitio... |

A friend of mine convinced me to watch Sherlock last week, and while I was sceptical at first, it turned out to be amazing. :D I've just finished watching the first series after getting the DVD yesterday, and I'm hoping to buy the second series some time in the next few days (and in the meantime I'v... |

I tend to have similar problems with direction. It takes me a long time to remember directions, even if it's somewhere that has a very simple layout. I also find it difficult to remember directions that are being given to me by someone, and I often forget which way I was walking in a street if I sto... |
