Oh, poor little thing :( And you too :) He was a quite spectacular looking gentleman! (Sorry, I had to google the species, I know pretty much nothing about these kinds of animals.) 14 years is a long time. Like you say, they become a part of ones life and daily routine. It doesn´t matter whether it´...

I´m glad you too found a new companion. Or perhaps he found you? Who knows, sometimes there seem to be a hidden plan behind what happens. Spot on, it felt like a "special delivery" from the universe. It was so strange. It seems you know the feeling? When the woman said "We just foster...

Thank you very much for your kind posts. Oh yes, animals are the true gift from god, if there is one. Both the wild ones, and our domesticated fellow travelers. The night went pretty okay, actually. (I´m in Europe too.) Maybe it´s easier this time because it was so obvious she needed the help leavin...

Hello everybody. I was here some years ago, it didn´t work very well back then. I think I know why, and if some of you remember and think you know what I mean - please remember things are not always as simple as they seem, and (particularly on the internet) not necessarily even true. Maybe it would ...

You may. You only really hear of dingoes mentioned if there's a human attack somewhere (usually Fraser Island, as there's many there for a small area). I've only seen them on said island (I might have heard some howling when I first moved here, but they might have been a pack of feral dogs). They d...

Perhaps I should have mentioned that this And this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyJp_Sg1M_c (full episode here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m04zAef07Cs ) He lived in this tin shack, very spartan to say the least (with rats and snakes and god knows what as bonus pets  ) Is it legal, d...

The capital cities are good for a few days holiday and that's it. Yep It's pretty much the same worldwide too (unless you have an interest in a specific culture, but that's kinda dying out now that the world is so connected). People are pretty much the same everywhere. The sights may change, but if...

Hi Katira I meant the NT world and not auts. I know very little of what it would be like in a world populated by people like me...I live completely by reason.....even my love for my daughter which is a very intense feeling is founded on reason and recognising my place in her life. In contrast I fin...

Being race-blind shouldn't make you reality-blind. To not assume is to enter every situation as a newborn, discovering things anew. It's nice to be nice, but it's also smart to be cautious, and that doesn't make you a bad person. But does caution have to be about race? Why not a fake smile? The wor...

I can honestly say I´m not a racist. I truly don´t think any ethnicity is above another. There was a considerable controversy in regards to a book call "The Bell Curve..." "The book was controversial, especially where the authors wrote about racial differences in intelligence and dis...

I'm pretty sure not all those types are white or male. Was this for me, about my post above? If so: you mean there are women and people with all kinds of ethnic backgrounds in high positions today? Yes, we see more of a mix today, but it hasn´t always been like that. The white male domination has b...

Why has this thread been moved to Random? This is about whether Australia is a good place for people with Asperger's Syndrome or not (though not a serious one), isn't it? Yes, there was an aspie perspective: does Australia really produce more than the usual Western % of non mainstream people, or is...
