My gf most probably has aspergers. Can go into more detail at a later point, but does this sound like asd? Whatever level of serious or tragic situation, she can't seem to register or at least communicate either what she feels or what's an appropriate level of emotional support. For example after a ... |

Thanks guys, some great info, and it's probably looking from this like she thinks of me as a friend, which is great news A lot of you are saying there's not enough info. If there's literally anything else you'd like to know, just ask, i'm sure i'll have an answer |

You know what, I've always wondered why I have a crooked smile. In all photos my left face is more active smiling than the right. And i think i have a theory! The right side of the face is the natural, relaxed side. I don't smile there much because even though i'm happy i don't register it with a sm... |

Thanks for all the replies guys! :) very much appreciated. Apologies if I can't reply to all points. So, yes I'm probably overthinking it a bit - but the overthinking's reason is that i do care about her as a friend and as an NT haven't had experience with how aspies take rejection from a crush - so... |

Thanks guys! :) well i'm more than happy to give more info. She's 21, and i'm a little older. Met through work a year and a half ago. She's talked to me a lot about dating, she hasn't had anything serious before. Hmm what else do you want to know? I analyse people a lot so ANY questions please ask a... |

Thanks for your reply. Could you please be more specific about your answer? If men and women can never be friends, well I guess I better say goodbye to all my female friend lol! Looking for some advice in relation to this specific case based on an how an aspie treats a crush. Thanks |

I'm a male NT (share AS traits though), and I want to find out if one of my friends who is a female Aspie has a crush on me. I'll list some of the signals - see what you think! I don't feel that way about her, am in a long term committed relationship, and so want to find out if she likes me as a fri... |

I've noticed this with every single aspie, and suspected aspie that I know. Can't just be coincidence. People underestimate the effects of how we use our facial muscles on muscle and bone growth in that area. But there is a direct correlation - and perhaps how aspies use their facial muscles creates... |

Thanks! :) much appreciated! I've spent the last 6 months researching everything from traits to causes and have learned a lot of neurobiology along the way. The problem I'm having is determining whether the social skills and 'theory of mind' I have is based on logical deduction and systematising, or... |

Also could you tell me if there's a difference that directly seperates NTs and AS? And if so a practical example? As in the one make or break thing that while can't be a diagnosis in itself, is certainly something that is difinitively there/not there in AS or NTs? Thanks. |

Thanks guys! Yes I'm seeing someone for counseling soon but the assessment is vastly out of my budget for now. For some more clarification - as a kid I wanted to be able to express myself, but with complex feelings just couldn't. I'd write about 'emotion X' in a diary when I was 7 or 8, and made it ... |

First time posting here. A little nervous about considering the possibility I have Asperger's. So I'm going to go through a list of traits that I had as a child, and ones I have now - I'd live some help and direction - Assessment and counseling costs so much where I am that I want some kind of direc... |
