It depends on other factors. I'm 21 and autistic and pretty clumsy and I live on my own and work as an office assistant and am in my final year of college. I don't drive because of depth perception issues and anxiety and probably never will. It's completely possible to find a job where you don't nee...

It sounds like your child is either transgender or gender nonconforming, though gender nonconforming children don't tend to have the extreme emotions about being pushed into the gender assigned to them at birth that trans kids do. Only time will tell but as an early 20's transgender aspie, it sounds...

I'm also genderqueer, bisexual and autistic. In my limited dating experience I've connected the best with bisexual women and bisexual nonbinary people, none of whom have been neurotypical but none who have been autistic. I've found that a lot of people on dating sites like okcupid aren't neurotypica...

the majority of my friends are LGBTQ+ or mentally ill or physically disabled or autistic or a combination of those because those are all aspects of my identity and I become friends more easily with people who are those things because there is usually more understanding there.

I know that some people who work with autistic kids are on here so you could post on here, I would try to find other forums that are more focused on people who work with autistic kids though.

It depends on what level you want to study them. I'm currently doing a project about autism activism for my senior thesis and I had to get approved by school's institutional review board before starting, but if you're unaffiliated with an academic institution I'm pretty sure you can just put a surve...

I forgot to check back on this posting. Apologies to anyone who had technical trouble with it, I think there was some sort of general malfunction last week because a few people had issues but were able to take it later on. If you are the partner of an autistic person I don't have a survey that you q...

Hey folks, I’m looking for people to take part in surveys for my senior thesis. I'm an autistic college senior and my thesis is about activism in the autistic community. The surveys are fairly short and are able to be saved so that you can take a break and come back to them if needed. I have four di...

It would be really helpful for me if you could participate in the survey portion of my research. The...

I didn't like other girls in elementary school because boys seemed to accept me better as I was but now that I'm in college and pretty gay, nearly all of my friends are girls or queer people of various gender identities. I'm still working on getting over my internalized misogyny though and sometimes...

I definitely feel my crushes more intensely than neurotypical people seem to, they could just be better at hiding their emotions though. I wouldn't call any of my recent crushes obsessions, perhaps some of the ones from high school. I do tend to want to know everything about the people that I crush ...

I've been doing online dating for about a year. I was in one almost relationship thing before that with a girl I met in a class. I've gone on dates with 6 people that I've met online and haven't dated any of them but I would consider 2 of them to be friends now, so even if you don't find people to d...

I'm autistic and a sociology/anthropology student. In my Disability, Identity and Power class one of our course long assignments is to find an online forum or support group to basically monitor and then incorporate into our final paper, the only requirement is that the resource we use be open for pu...
