Fortunately, he travels a lot for his job. It's just the past couple of weeks have been difficult as his assignments were all local or could be done remotely. Normally I'm alone with her all day.

Noise really, really gets to me. Pretty quickly, too. When I'm home with my kid I put on headphones to tune it out. She's at an age where she'll scream for no reason. I'm 25 and still don't have a driver's license. Every time I get behind the wheel I go into immediate sensory overload and shut down. Which sucks because it makes me less independent than I want to be. Am I alone?

I get obsessed with TV shows. Currently it's Supernatural. And I have an unhealthy obsession with whales and dolphins. Not to a creepy zoophilia point, but more so I want to know every last thing about each species that exists.

Mine's way too high for my own liking. I can't get anything done with my partner around some days because all I want to do is be all over him. It's annoying.

I see so many advice columns and help guides for parents of autistic children.... but what about parents who are diagnosed on the spectrum themselves? I really feel out of my element here. I love my kid, but I have no idea what I'm doing and paranoid 100% of the time I'm ruining her life by existing.

Hi! I'm 25, mother of a 1 1/2 year old, and work as a model. Officially diagnosed with ASD when I was in middle school.
