Yup bizarre, that's the book I linked (I so dislike the fact that links are well-nigh indistinguishable from normal text on WP, or is that my browser that doesn't like WP?). How did you like it? Anubis: I dunno, it's possible. I don't know enough people to generalize. As for myself, I think I'm less...

Here it is. I'm interested in the topic but I would prefer not to read New Age mishmash. I've found the reviews on autism books on Amazon quite worthless, as lots of parents will give five stars even to the most horrible titles in my opinion. (Science fiction reviews are reasonable, by contrast.) S...

I don't think the consensus here seems to be that he should be left to his own devices. I didn't say that myself, either. I gave real-life examples of how one might cope. I am frankly quite puzzled over this entire "credit" business and why it seems to be such a big deal. I've never lived in the US ...

Wow, Tron and autism? Really? I didn't know about that. I've just been meaning to watch that movie because it has Bruce Boxleitner and Peter Jurasik in it (and because it's a classic about computers I never got around to seeing).

What?! It took me TEN MINUTES to realize the news bite was referring to this article , one I have read before . Let me tell you this is a very botched writeup. The original article I linked only speculates upon the possible reason of the neurological findings they found; they make that rather clear....

I think that if absolutely felt like you needed to post some photos, it would've been better if you posted them in the locked part of this forum. But I'm not even sure posting photos of other people's private property without their consent is legal. For all it's worth, my dorm room doesn't look much...

Nope, it's an adult drama series. (Though I acknowledge that my knowledge of H. R. Pufnstuf consists of having skimmed its Wikipedia page.)

I think one thing that one needs to be cautious about when d/ling torrents (I watch current English-language TV series this way as they are not available where I live) is that one should choose unpacked stuff over packed. Sometimes the archive files have something entirely different in them than wha...

I have used the following... * SuSE * Debian * Knoppix livecds for backing stuff up, etc. * Ubuntu I used Ubuntu exclusively on my previous laptop (minus my lab's software which only ran under Windows, so I kept the factory Windows install and had a dual-boot system... I could've just used wine or s...

If this reassures you any, I'm 23, female, still a virgin, and I've never had a boyfriend. So you're definitely not alone.

I like synthpop, but most of the synthpop I like tends to be rather underground stuff. I do like one song every now and then (eg. I liked the Ketchup Song, I admit it!!) but by and large I hate the stuff on the radio. Especially since it could be so much better with so little effort, since there is ...

There is a Canadian TV series called ReGenesis that has a canon Aspie character. A very nice woman (NT, children with AS) recommended it to me, and I've gotten ahold of the first two seasons, but I haven't started watching it yet. I think I will like it because it's about scientists and it looks at ...

Still very busy with school/work, so I'm slow on replies, sorry  This semester must end eventually, all the others before did! :P I didn't mean to gloss over it, but I did miss it completely nonetheless, because I wasn't looking for it...it's been a while and I have a bad memory and questionabl...

Sorry for my absence, the holidays were awfully busy. I have very short time right now, too, but I'll be back later G-d willing. Speed of Dark: Well, I didn't want to spoil the ending, but if everyone's read it then it's all right :D Basically this is why I said "pointless in the context of the book...
