Well, no, the definition of communism is that a totalitarian state owns all the means of production: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/communism The dictionary is the last resort of people who have already lost the argument. How so? It's important that both people in any sort of discussion ...

I do think the problems of workers and distribition is solvable if the leaders can undo years of NT priorities programmed into thier brains. Retail will be ordering on line and Autistic friendly working conditions will allow many of those who can not have success in employment now have success in t...

One tactic is to transition to something similar to your current obsession, for example I have been using this lately to help transition between obsessing about autism research and obsessing about lucid dreaming because they are both related to psychology and they share enough common elements that ...

I think the way most people wanted to go about it is an awfully bad idea. Genetic diversity within a species makes it stronger.

I'll be honest here, Edentiel, my gut reaction to your post was to tell you that some of the key points of the second half of what you wrote is wildly incorrect, but... then I'd be exemplifying the very thing this thread is about. I almost let it go, but it made me realize something that (hopefully)...

I figure our nation's problems are centered around the Washington DC area. Unfortunately there are far too many people willing to hand power over to charismatic sociopaths (on both sides of the aisle), or conflate blind obedience to proper procedure with morality, while evil people continually twist...

Just spitballing - maybe it can't. The Roman empire fell under similar circumstances, IIRC.

I grew up in a very conservative household so this stuff is a little uncomfortable for me, but I'm genuinely curious, is the two minute thing actually true?

It does not matter how I react when alcohol is my only true friend in the world. That's not a road you want to walk down. Take a moment to collect yourself, and take care of your physical needs (I know I sometimes get down when I haven't eaten). Where there's a will there's a way, smart guy like yo...

Once stood in the bathroom and realized something. I exist. We exist. Everything exists, and if laws of physics are ultimately based upon the interaction of matter as a physical force - it cannot be doing so in isolation. I've often marveled at this very thing. We exist and are aware of ourselves. ...

Not much to go on for us to respond here. We dont hang with you, so we dont know how YOU deal with being an aspie ( which may, or may not be similar to how anyone of us deals with being an aspie). So how are we are supposed to tell you how to tell your sister how YOU deal with being an aspie? Maybe...

My sister was recently diagnosed with Asperger's, as an adult. I have it and we've always kind of suspected she did as well, but now that it's official she has been asking me questions about how to cope in society, and I'm at a bit of a loss for putting the way I do things into words.

Ive seen folks argue for the "male brain theory": that aspie girls are boyish, and that us aspie guys have an extra dose of male thinking. Uber male I suppose. Ive seen it argued that a higher percentage of ASD folks are LBGT. That would seem to support the first half of the above but wou...
