I've always been hyper-sexual, although I did not have sex until I was 17 yrs old because I had lots of insecurities and social awkwardness as well lol. I'm 35 now and they say this is the "peak," well not so much a peak as in it shouldn't taper down too much, but it's the point where a wo... |

From the graphic provided on the website it looks like it declines to the rate that neurotypicals decline, so nothing out of the ordinary there. Also, it is referencing brain size, not necessarily cognition capabilities. |

I had imaginary friends way beyond the "appropriate" age lol. As a kid, I used an alternate reality to help me get through some stuff. I don't do this much anymore. I still have "characters" and enjoy bringing them out, but it's not on a regular basis. I am in the "real worl... |

Just chiming in to defend Neanderthals; we should not use any early hominid species as a derogatory term. |

It's exhausting and mentally taxing. I usually need a nap (or just quiet decompression time) when I get home if I've been out and about, especially if socializing was involved. |

Diamond stud earrings in my ears that I never touch. Once in awhile a necklace that was given as a gift. Otherwise, no. I get.. almost claustrophobic with jewelry on. Like the presence of it, weighs on me. I did get a FitBit and I worried how I would deal with it.. my desire to count steps and track... |

I hate the sensation of wet hair. *shudders* Hate it. But, I also hate greasy hair lol. So I have to wash it at least every 3-4 days. On non-wash hair days, I may tie it up and still wash in the shower, OR I use a wash cloth in the sink and wash up. I don't like smelling. |

Arizona still uses the DSM-IV criteria to be approved for services. Many practices here still use the DSM-IV. I too feel that they should not have lumped asperger's in with autism (maybe not for the exact reasons you specify though lol). Some say it was done so that those with asperger's can receive... |

I definitely relate to some of what you are saying. Do look into depersonalization disorder, I've had it for 17 years now and some of what you describe is spot on. I too crave monotony.. it's like my brain is constantly working, that doing monotonous tasks is relaxing, it gives my brain a chance to ... |

I do have so many personas that I could never pin point the "real" me. I also have "characters" that come out at random times. Usually when i'm at home caring for my children.. I'll take on an accent and am basically someone else for a bit (though I am aware I am in a character, ... |

Right Alex, It's frightening because one symptom is that I hear music when I listen to noise, like from a fan, or from an AC unit, or any other type of unusual noise. What's freaky is that it turns into like a symphony of violins. I hear violins :( I hope this symptom is temporary. I experience thi... |
