Merriam Webster defines an introvert as someone who is shy and quiet and does not find it easy to talk to other people.
The term, "boring" is not included in this or any other definition.
Why are you under the impression that the meaning has changed? |

If you could guess did my boss pair us together on the same job because we both behaved identically or because of his preconceived stereotypes of people with learning disabilities? It is impossible for anyone to answer this question given the information you have provided. Since you are no longer e... |

I haven't been to the movies in 10 years. The last time I went a group of high school students sat in the very last row. They thought they'd be cute by throwing popcorn at total strangers. There were five of them, three guys and two women. Since I'm an aspie high school teacher, I decided to confron... |

The same goes for Quebec and yet every few years, the concept of nationalism is again revived. |

Why are we such a deprived people? You're kidding, right? The UN Human Development Index (a study of per capita income and life expectancy) places us at #3 in the world. Our Gross Domestic Product places us at #7. All told, we are among the top 20 countries in the world with the highest standard of... |

Please don't say there isn't any cure that is BS. Because when I used Marijuana I did not fell as if I have it at the time. Meaning in my opinion Marijuana is the cure for Aspergers ADHD. The medical consensus is that there is NO cure for autism. If you believe otherwise, you are deluded and there ... |

I think aspies can be late bloomers. I don't know about other people but it took me years to develop the coping skills, experience, and masks needed to allow me to work among NTs. At 55 years of age, I can now pass for an NT ... but I remember being very awkward at 17 and so self conscious that I co... |

I have no sense of direction and once wound up in Mexico while driving along the south Texas border. I also once wound up in Syria while driving in Lebanon. The single best investment I've ever made in my life has been my GPS system. With this GPS system, I've been able to drive around large metropo... |

I am sorry if this seems insensitive or confrontational but you seem to have an excuse for everything. You don't like the shelter because it's a bus ride away from your stomping grounds. You don't like the hospital and are claiming that it's dangerous which seems very odd to me because that seems co... |

Hello All! I'm an aspie teacher. I teach Culinary Arts at a small rural high school in Nevada. I have a colleague at my school who is also an aspie teacher. She's an older woman with a Ph.D. who works with emotionally disturbed children. This woman ... I will call her Rachel (which is not her real n... |

I'm curious, to those who have jobs, do you ever tell your bosses or other employees about your diagnosis of Asperger's of autism? I didn't know I was autistic at the time of my job interview with my current employer some 27 months ago. Since then I have transferred to a rural school and I have tol... |

Why don't you just hire a handyman? I'm a reclusive introvert - so my knowledge of relationships is really quite limited ... but even so, it seems to me that getting into a relationship just to get help around your home wouldn't be very fair to the other person. I apologize if I misunderstood the OP. |

I read some of your earlier posts. Do you really owe the state of California five figures? I assume CCSF is City College of San Francisco. I think you need to get your priorities in order. Going to college is an admirable goal but from the sound of things, you're heavily in debt, you're hungry and y... |

Yes. I say, " That is a personal question. " Neat, huh? :D Yes ... but that's not nearly as amusing. My humor is admittedly very dry and I rarely laugh or smile in public ... but it does amuse me to see if I can distract my NT students without actually having to tell them that I will alwa... |
