Any and all environmental causes. For example, there is evidence of the effects of pesticides on a variety of species of animals, whilst more recently there have been (yet more small sample) studies which demonstrate a possible link between exposure to phthalate esters and reduced masculine behavio... |

I'm struggling to give you the benefit of the doubt here, but it's becoming increasingly difficult. I cannot possibly believe that you are not aware that transgenderism was universally considered to be a pyschiatric disorder until relatively recently. The reclassification of gender dysphoria on the... |

Ranchers in Oregon are terrorists. Their cause? More government hand outs for them! They want to use OUR land without paying rent (grazing fees)! What ever happened to rugged individualism? You can blame Mr Prez for backing down during the standoff in Nevada 2 years ago against Clive Bundy and the ... |

Hardly. Your unsupported inference merely betrays your own bias. My belief is that there are a variety of biological and environmental causes of transgenderism. This has no bearing on my acceptance of transgender individuals. Unlike yourself, my only agenda is knowledge and understanding. The behav... |

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mate_choice "In systems where mate choice exists, one sex is competitive with same-sex members and the other sex is choosy (selective when it comes to picking individuals to mate with). In most species, females are the choosy sex that discriminate amongst competit... |

However, the causal factors are biologically based in terms of actual brain differences which IS quite relevant in terms of those who believe that transsexuals are just people choosing to live an alternative lifestyle and so they somehow poseurs or people who are mentally ill(unable to distinguish ... |

These studies were cited in another thread about transgender people: *snippety snip* None of the above studies support the statement that: "But for trans people, their brains have the opposite biological gender as their body." Looks like Wilburforce took care of the citation list for me! ... |

Wooooooooooooah there! Hold on a sec: Trans people do indeed have abnormal neurbiology because it turns out the BRAIN has biological gender as well as the body. For most people, the gender of the brain is in agreement with the gender of the body. But for trans people, their brains have the opposite... |

However these third wave feminists in question may be more inclusive of trans people and I'm all in favour of that, but they are not wholly inclusive either. They are very quick to revert to a culture of labeling and classifying people. So in essence they also judgmental, and sure as hell if anyone... |

I confess, I don't know practically anything about dermatology, but I heard somewhere that things like rogaine pretty much cure baldness, they just have some kind of method that have to be used. Rogaine does NOT cure baldness(and I would know). Unfortunately ATM there is no miracle cure for male pa... |

I don't know why people seem to assume women are so picky about men. Maybe they are. I don't know many women so I can't say. But I don't consider myself picky. I like men that are smart, and interesting, with a sense of humor, who are also genuinely nice. What I dislike personality-wise is lying, r... |

Why are you defending a REAL feminazi like Germaine Greer? He's not defending her, he's defending her right to speak, and he's doing it because he has consistent principles. I'll admit, it's amusing when people get hoist on their own petards, something that happens quite often in SJ circles due to ... |

That's anecdotal. I was under the impression that most people don't consider anecdotes to be legitimate evidence for or against an argument. True, you got me. It is indeed anecdotal. Also the examples aren't that comparable, the petition had a bit more information at least. However it was bad that ... |

Let's chalk it up to evolution. Perhaps Sly and Spiderpig's genes aren't meant to be passed along to the next generation. I really don't get why you see the "real" feminists as evil - the real feminists are about equality, myself included. In the US, women still earn less than men for the... |

So discriminatory speech that contributes to people wanting to commit suicide should be considered legitimate? How are we to assess what causes someone to commit suicide? Other than those who actually tell people to commit suicide. There was trial recently where a woman repeatedly pestered her boyf... |

I didn't say anything about censorship I wasn't referring to you look above. Well, my point was she is obviously not representative of any modern feminists anymore, or why would they want her not to speak? Her brand of (second wave radical) feminism is a dying breed, and anyone who can look at the ... |
