Yes. NT women tend to treat me like I’m stupid. In the past I have been ganged up on and lectured by them after saying or doing the wrong thing. I deal with them by always trying my best to be super polite and quickly apologizing when they get upset with me. NT women are like wasps. You must be care... |

You are describing autism. A "normal" person can interact nonverbally instinctively, or without effort. Someone with autism can't. This is part of masking. With enough effort someone who is autistic may be able to act out nonverbal communication, but it is not instinctive, nor can it be d... |

To those that wear makeup: do you wear foundation? How do you ignore the feeling? I can't wear foundation or anything like it. I even hate moisturizers and use them only when my skin is extremely dry. And even then I only use one that has no smell and feels like water on the skin. I have always hat... |

I have tried moisturizers, primers, sprays. Adding this to foundation makes my face feel even heavier and gross. Wearing foundation is bad enough so adding extra stuff on top or under it makes it worse. |

Also, foundation has a look. It’s really hard to find one that matches exactly. It can look like a mask in certain lighting. It’s noticeable when someone is wearing foundation. It doesn’t always look bad but it’s noticeable. I refer to it as the “foundation look”. It creates a specific look to the f... |

And when I say foundation I mean anything with pigment that you smear over your entire face such as bb cream, tinted moisturizer, cc cream, skin tint, concealer, etc. Some people claim not to wear foundation but then ... |

Yes, I do. In fact, unless it is a true emergency, I won't leave the house without makeup. I am very critical/self conscious of my appearance. I have been this way since I was a teenager. I only know how to do my makeup one way, regardless of the occasion. I have poor fine motor skills, so I have t... |

..... When I wear heals I f*** up the floor, or the shoe ...or both. That's okay though, since I like the way I look without them.... I also mess up my feet and ankles with heels. Honestly I am okay (or used to be okay) with the way I look but it seems as if others aren’t. Do you ever get negative ... |

I will admit that I wear makeup to please others, to fit in, and meet societal expectations. I have been forced into wearing it even though I rarely wear it. Many of the female fashions are uncomfortable and even hazardous to our health but we must pretend (or convince ourselves) to like them. |

I only wear it for special occasions and to work sometimes. I wear mineral powder only and never any liquids. I hate wearing makeup. Just hate it. It feels nasty on my face and irritates my eyes. Wearing makeup is one of the bad things of being a woman. I think most women lie to themselves about not... |

I realize self esteem doesn’t exist in a bubble. The way others respond to you does affect how your view your self. But it’s not good to seek validation from others. It’s not easy but you must somehow at least accept yourself and things as they are without looking for strangers to make you feel bett... |

Look OK I've had attraction from men in the past, and I seem to be good at recognising if a man likes me....but that was when I was slim, so they probably were just attracted to my body, as most men do like slim girls. Since I've been with my boyfriend I've got fatter, and I just feel unattractive.... |

A little masking isn't necessarily bad if it give you the attention you need. Have you considered using a little bit of makeup before you go out? I agree and also, Joe90 how is you weight? Should you go to the gym? Men like “nice” bodies. Since you want male attention you are going to have to make ... |
