They're really great. I especially like the way the shapes - diamonds and triangles - provide a structure for the rest. Beautifully done!

I’ve only recently got an ASD diagnosis which was a big surprise. You see, I’ve worked as a psychotherapist for a long time and I’m told I have good empathy, which a lot of people on the spectrum seem to have trouble with. I’ve always been ultra-sensitive to others emotions, but only with one perso...

I prefer "first name." There are some people who aren't Christians...... I prefer this too. Having come out of a Christian religion it feels wrong to have my name called 'Christian', I really don't like it. It makes me feel like I can't get free. Also I generally prefer the use of my give...

I heard things aren't going too well in the UK either. Yes, homelessness is on the rise. "There was an increase of 15% from 2016 to 2017, while since 2010 rough sleeping estimates show an increase of 169%." (data from homeless link) It's true that homelessness is up in the UK but the incr...

No. I cannot stand the smell!

If you do smoke peeps. Do it outside, away from the buildings. There's nothing worse than other people's stinky cannabis smoke leeching into your house from next door.

I am totally with you on this. It smells awful - makes me feel sick.

I don't want to date anymore. I was married for 14 years. It was Good to OK while I was working fulltime but once I stopped working (our son was ill) there was this power and control thing my partner had. Looking back I think it came from anxiety about being the only wage earner, not from malice, bu...

Looking a little more into this subject: ...etc. I think what you collated above was really interesting. I get people misreading me all the time and telling me they know how I'm feeling when the don't have a clue. The sunglasses might force them to listen to my words and not just look at things on ...

.... And, as always, my pets I have to wholeheartedly agree with this too. My dog, whom I lost last year to a brain tumor, was with me for many years. She made all the difference in the world to me. Also as a child I grew up with four dogs and it was the same with them. I'm actually more comfortabl...

I'm a member of an Autism Charity in my area. They employ a counsellor which any member can book once every month. She was really helpful when I saw her a couple of times. She also runs a workshop for adults with autism / Aspergers. I think her counselling training was in "Integrated Counsellin...

I don't, and have never, taken cannabis. I knew a guy from church, he was married, working, with a beautiful son but he was hooked on cannibis. Then one night he tried to stop taking it and had a psychotic break. At first he was screaming for help and then, after the police turned up to help him, he...

I can't do this. I find watching the other person's mouth is more helpful because you can see them smile (if they actually do that.) Looking at people's eyes makes me feel bad.

The card explains that you have autism and that, should you be in custody, or in hospital or need to access emergency services...

I have to be careful with this too. People think I'm disinterested or bored when I'm actually quite interested. Sometimes I think it would be better if people asked me how I feel rather than guessing based on intonation which is fairly meaningless for me. But people don't because, I gather, in NT li...
