As an undiagnosed aspie misfit teenager in the early 1980s, Heavy Metal music gave me and all the other misfits where I grew up a place to belong. To say I'm terribly upset would be a gross understatement. R.I.P. Ronnie   "The world is full of kings and queens, who blind your eyes an...

ok...aside from NIN, I've never heard of any of these...but I'm an old guy; last 'new' metal band I heard was King's X ...;) Man, that group saved my life, musically speaking. I just got their latest studio offering (I've got all 12 albums) and it's as awesome as ever. Back back on topic, I'm not s...

I'm 40 on Sunday week and if I've only learned one thing, you're as old as you feel. I got diagnosed only in May last year and I reckon I feel younger now than at any stage in the last 15 years ! !

Age is only a state of mind ! !

I'm a very proud music snob ! ! I tried for years not to be but I gave up. I have one album (yep, ONE ! !) post 1985 and 90% of my music collection is pre 1945, which includes classical music. My favourite eras are 1900s to 1930s popular, jazz, blues and early 1970s UK progressive rock. I also concu...

I was in year 7 when they first came out in Australia (1981) and quickly learnt how to solve it. I remember there was a kid in year 12 who had his own method. The school had a competition and I came second out of the four kids who took the stage. I still do the cube once every few months, just to ch...

Here's what I wrote about Zep a while back ! !! ! Ah Zep ! ! My father brought Zep 1 about the time it came out so I was less than 12 months old and therefore have no cognitive memory of a Zep free life. I've never tired of them despite being nearly 40 and Zep 1 was the first CD I bought when the me...

I pretty much only listen to UK prog rock from the 1970s. Check these out: Jethro Tull (anything between 1971 and 1978 is strong, pick is Thick As A Brick) Genesis (Foxtrot, Nursery Cryme, Selling England By The Pound) Yes (The Yes Album especially is a stunning album but anything to Relayer) Wishbo...

One of my all-time favourite games. My parents has a set where all the tiles and the stands were made from wood. I'd love to have a crack at a tournament just to see how I'd go ! !

1970s without any question - wonderful time to grow up here in Australia. Mind you, if I could time travel to the 1920s I'd be there as fast as the machine could take me.
