I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has written back to welcome me. I already feel more at home amongst the people here than i ever have anywhere in my life before and i am very excited about becoming a regular contributor here. Thanks guys, you're all amazing :heart:

Trogluddite, your experience sounds extremely similar to mine, although I used recreational drugs rather than alcohol but apart from that your story sounds very very familiar.

worst thing a bully has done to me is hang me from a tree by my jacket and have everybody else use me as a target for the football. left me there when the bell went to signal the end of dinner time and it took half an hour before i was rescued by a teacher.

Thank you! too many people say "well everyone gets depressed" to me when im going through depressive episodes, the only time when people take me seriously is after they see my cuts on my wrist of after a suicide attempt. And the irony is they say WE'RE the ones that don't feel any empathy...
