If you must use organic materials you could make the blanket like a duvet cover so that the outer layer can be removed for the wash while the inner layer stays dry. :)

I'm going against the schools recommendation that my 5yo continue in her autistic cluster when she starts kindergarden. I've enrolled her in a performing/fine arts magnet program instead. Hi, Smelena! I've been bellydancing for almost 6yrs now and I love it. I dance Egyptian and enjoy Am/Cab as well. Love to watch Tribal but don't dance it. Saw BDSS's in Dec., it was very inspiring. PM me if you want. :)
