Visual learner here too. Everything I know is associated with an image, even the days of the week have an image attached to them (moday is a half moon, tuesday is a bugger, wednesday a mosquito, etc, don't ask why, I don't know). It's a good era to live in, as everything seems to be going more visua...

I've had meltdowns go from really short time, and I mean they're almost over before they actually begin, to a couple that were well past the half hour mark. Always thought they were some kind of extreme anxiety attacks or something. On the first case, If I walk away soon enough to somewhere I can be...

Hello inaweb. I can relate to a lot that you describe. I'm turning 28 soon, been a pot smoker for almost 13 years, and a drinker to navigate social events, found out I was on the spectrum not long ago. Stopped smoking pot about a month now, wasted a lot of time doing it, now I just go to my interest...

Unemployment makes a lot of sense. The only full time job I landed by myself, fresh out of college, interview and all, lasted 3 months and I was back on the streets. It was hell on earth. After the 1st week everybody (even the new hires) had made acquaintances with someone else. I was alone and pick...

This happens when I'm talking to a person, or group of people that I'm not that familiar with. I don't know if this is because I am anxious and I am trying to consciously control my eye contact. Anyone else experience this? Exactly what you describe. I think it's the latter, since making eye contac...

Same for me. I recognize better the people I've had longer relationship with, since you get to see them in different contexts. In social situations, specially office parties, where coworkers are dressed in non work clothes, I find it easier to stick close to the people I've known the longest (and ou...

Origami with a single piece of paper and no scissors.

Strategy games, all kinds. Strategy RPGs being my favorites.

Using vba code to turn Excel files into non conventional stuff (sudoku maker, maze maker, coloring cells to match the pixels of an image).

Science fiction books, series and movies.

No extreme sensory issues. However, I'm pretty sensible to specially bright lights, like a very bright sun shining on mostly white surfaces (snow, white sand, white asphalt). After a while it gives me migraine, easy fix with sunglasses.

Usually whe I say something I mean it, it's literally what I want to say, but people assume there's a subtext in what I say.

Seen this happening as people get older, only conclusion is that people tend to say things with a literal meaning and a hidden meaning as they get older.

Welcome! We are glad to have you here. Your English is fine. What's Mexico like? Mexico is beautiful, and incredibly chaotic. I'm in Mexico City, it's huge, too huge, been here all my life, know only about a fifth of it. There's so many people, 18 mill residents, 25 mill including passersby, you ca...

Hi. I love that this place exists. I'm 27 (almost 28) and was diagnosed with AS a month ago. I started going to therapy on a friend's suggestion for dealing with some stressful twists my life took, and it took me quite a while to finally begin the therapy. After my 5th session my therapist told me s...
