If you're my age, it was the first point of view shot em up game. I remember loading that game on msdos and playing for hours. The game is really fun but brings back a lot of memories also. Doom was the first game I had ever purchased for my first computer.

OP I totally understand what you mean, I can't give up on video games and getting up there in age. I thought the older I got the less I would be interested in video games. For the longest time I would use alcohol to cut my social anxiety especially when meeting new people in a evening setting. After a while I realized this was a bad approach. Usually Amazon or Best Buy have a pre order sales before E3 usually can pick up 3 games at 25% there regular sticker price. That's what I usually do and the game arrives the day of it's release.
