... Apparently, the half-Asian (mother), half-European (father) males are doomed to not only be genetically unacceptable as potential mates in the dating world, but if I understand the OP right, they are also professional and financial losers. Miraculously, however, those with White mothers but Asi... |

Apparently, If I am understanding the point that the blogger the OP cites is making, is that the Asian mother is the most to blame b/c she schemes to marry into white privilege and then her (male) children are doomed to a lonely life of bad dating prospects because supposedly no one wants to date a... |

Kamala Harris - another half-Asian individual, although the father is African-American. so not the same "mix" as Mr. Eikonabridge is postulating, but still managed to be successful despite the "handicap of an Asian mother" (note quotes) ! !! |

According to Eikonabridge, half Asians with Asian fathers don't have the same issues. I don't understand this at all. Ben Silbermann, the founder of Pinterest. Asian mother, white (maybe Jewish ?) father... very successful dude, the last time I checked. Can hardly be considered "unsuccessful&q... |

Are these your children with your Asian wife or yours from another marriage ?? |

And I cannot believe that no one mentioned the most successful half-asian of them all, Steve Jobs, born of a white woman and a Syrian man. Whoever said half-Asians are unsuccessful needs to redefine success ! ! |

Ben Silbermann (half German/Jewish and half Asian) is the founder of Pinterest. He is married to another Asian, Indian-American Divya Baskaran.
I would not call Ben "unsuccessful". |

The old thread on teaching a child to point really resonated with me. When my LO (little one) was 3, I thought them to point. I spent a whole week doing only that, and nothing else. By the end of the 9th day, they were pointing fluently. Unfortunately, we had ABA with a program manager who was deter... |

Hello parents, My moderately autistic kindergartner will not do any work with me. All they want to do is to sit by my side, or in my lap, while watching TV. I am grateful that they want to do this (it could be worse) but as soon as I bring out any learning materials (we do Montessori), they flee. It... |

Gee, I wish I could tell my child with minimal language, poor motor skills and developmental retardation that they are not disabled --- that autism is not a disability but just NT conspiracy to "crush weakness". |

Monstrosities like that "neighbor" will always get their comeuppance. If I were him or her, I wouldn't be quite do smug about his or her "normal" children. Things like car accidents, meningitis, juvenile strokes and other life altering, "brain damaging" hardships aren't... |

Firstly, ASAN doesn't paint autism as rainbows, sunshine, and butterflies. It does make it a point that autism is not a terrible, end-of-the-world diagnosis and that having it does not make one a burden or suffering. And they know this how ? How many MFAs or LFAs does Ari Ne'eman and his bandwagon ... |

I don't claim to speak for non-verbal autistics. Why do you, OP? You don't but ASAN does. But why do you? Why shouldn't I ? If ASAN can speak for all autistics in every part of the world and decry a cure for even those that cannot survive with their severe disabilities in countries with little to n... |
