Throughout the movie he looked quite aspie.. odd gait, robotic movement, Dahmer glasses, distant, you don't know what he is thinking behind this wax-statue perfection, awkward conversations, obsessive, as a kid was sickly and not good at sports... I know Herman Hesse notoriously claimed that Steppenwolf had always been misunderstood, so I guess I'll never know if I am one of the few who got it right or just another schmuck who put my own spin on it. Those who thought that the book promoted drug abuse and orgies are the ones who misunderstood...
