This is a variation on the "trolley car problem" - If you throw a switch, someone dies, but if you don't five people die. It has to be decided to legally cover the asses of the people programming robot cars, so there's lots of discussion these days. As to the algorithm, the value of life ... |

Whats the morally correct decision from the unlikely scenario below: In your home you have the cure to a disease which your about to release [that day] and save MILLIONS of lives. Also in the home is your child. A fire breaks out in your house and you know that you will only be able to save either ... |

I have my license. My driver's ed counted as my driving test so all I had to do is take the written test. Haven't had to take a driving test since, so... 17 years now. My biggest problem is assessing distance of oncoming traffic; I'll end up waiting for a car that I thought was moving fast but it wa... |

The range for this test is 23 to 155 with a score of 69 being in the middle. I scored dead even, 69. However, with no data available about the average score, we have no reference for how much any one score deviates from the general population. Or on whether or not people identified as narcissistic ... |

65... but that could be bumped a couple points, I suppose, based on some questions I was uncertain on. According to the survey I would be the average score. On a side note, when confronted with a narcissist I will be hypercritical of them and try to drag them down... I don't know why I do this but i... |

Thought about the concept, yes. In relation to doing it myself, no. Even at my lowest of lowest points the thought of ending everything never came to me. I don't know why and I always find it very difficult to understand why other people would feel the need to do so or even follow through on that fe... |

I was in a very open and trusting state of mind when I made my username and it contains personal info. Can there be an exception to changing it. If not, what recourse do I have? I was hoping to not have to close this account and start a new one if possible.
Thanks! |

My son was 6 when I received my diagnosis. I wonder at the first mother's preparation for her children. The child who has had no expectations enforced I fear will be ill equipped to handle general society. I try to enforce the "illogical" boundaries because I confront them everyday I leave... |

i hear a lot of gibberish and rely on lip reading, other cues, and cognitive detours to help decipher auditory language. This, so much this. I want to learn different languages but this is such an impediment that the best I could probably hope for is to read and write in one. When listening to song... |

Somehow, when confronted with an existential crisis I have a part of me that is always affirming. I would rather there be something that holds no meaning than there to be nothing. I think that's why Nietzsche became my prevailing special interest, I like the thought that we are supposed to create va... |

One thing on BAP, this is used to refer to family members around someone being diagnosed for ASD to find autistic qualities that would suggest a genetic origin. If Itsme82 is the only one in her family with these traits then I would consider BAP to be invalid. OCPD was the other candidate but everyt... |

What makes you think so much though that I "Pavloved" myself as a kid about social communication? What did I say that sounded like that? I really have to strongly emphasize here that I did no such thing. Whatever I learnt - including most aspects of nonverbal cues - was learnt automatical... |

It's "I'm autistic", not "I have autism". And autism is not a disease like asthma or cancer. I'm hungry. I have hunger. The first one is obviously correct. I'm autistic. I'm talented. I'm smart. I'm short. I'm quite. I'm curious. I'm late. I'm sure. I'm sorry. I have a hunger. I... |

After deliberating and considering the criteria, I would say you have S(P)CD or something like that with a comorbid alexithymia or subdued emotional capacity (I'm not sure what it is specifically). The latter making it more ASD like on the surface but when you delve deeper obvious differences exist.... |
