Many animals have evolved to be rooted to the spot, so maybe that's actually more of an advantage?

I have just become the first person ever to break the sound barrier on an electric lawmmower.

The worst years of my life by a very long way were ages 11-16. I don't remember having many expectations of being a teenager, though - I hadn't read or watched much stuff that glamourised it.

I eat very little meat, but I'm just plain not organised enough to cut it out entirely. When I'm stressed, confused, ravenous and out of time (which is most days) I grab whatever I can find that vaguely resembles a meal.

The "Adoration of the Hagi" is the part of the Christmas story when three wise Haggises from Scotland arrive to present the Baby Jesus with gifts of sporrans, Irn Bru and deep-fried Mars bars. Many great artists have painted this scene.

I actually managed to post weekly for 12 weeks running, but I've come to the end of the stuff I wrote in an early burst of enthusiasm. Those were all tiny chapters. The bit I'm on now is more complicated and each chapter needs to be longer to work properly. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted!

A while back, I was put on a higher dose that turned out to actually make things worse. While waiting to be put back on the lower dose, I got hold of a pill cutter and literally just cut the pills into quarters and took 3/4 a day.

Tacoma used to be called "New Chipping Sodbury." That's before tacos were invented there in 1823. The city was re-named "Madre de los Tacos" in honour of this vital innovation, but people took to shortening that to "Taco-ma." So now you know.

My brain being what it is, beyond the long Homestuck fic I'm working on I have ideas for not one, not two, not three but four other long Homestuck fics. Have to tell myself to save them for later, as it's doubtful I'll even finish one before this round of Obsession Roulette ends.

^Classic fix-it fic!

Outside of my current Homestuck obsession, I've also read Tolkein, Doctor Who and Brandon Sanderson fanfiction. I've tried to write for the first two of those, but never got very far. I've now written more of my Homestuck fic than I ever managed of my ill-fated dissertation....
