In my experience of looking for work from home jobs, most require a specialized skill (i.e. programming) or are customer service jobs (not aspie friendly). But I think in the future more and more jobs will be offered as remote positions. I always check these two sites: http://www.skipthedrive.com/ a...

Thank you, my cat is doing better :D From what I've read on these forums what could be described as a nervous break down is actually a burnout. But it's hard to settle on one definition of a burnout since everyone experiences them differently. What type of symptoms and after affects have you experi...

Unless it's depression or some form of extreme stress, I think I have been 'burnt out' for the past couple of months. I am cognitively lethargic, my brain is always foggy, and the majority of the time I withdraw from my surroundings. These symptoms never seem to subside and it's p***ing me off. You...

4. How long did it take to regain what you lost if you did lose something? I'm not sure about the one in second grade, but I did have a burnout in 2015. I was getting harassed online and it led to me quitting the internet for a while and I quit my job at a grocery store because I would have panic a...

Disclosure: I'm 27 so I don't know if I'm old enough, I also have not had an official diagnosis but I am fairly confident I have aspergers as it checks a lot of boxes in my life/personality/behavior. 1.How many have you had? One (as far as I can tell) 2.When was your first? It started last year and ...

I have a really bad fear of flying (unable to fly without lots of xanax), even though I've flown a zillion times in my life and one of my special interests is airplanes!! The problem is my other special interest is airplane crashes, I've spent hours on the internet reading about crashes and have sc...

I don't think I know how to flirt so I've never "charmed" men. My NT female friend informed me to "just play dumb, guys like that" but that seems silly to me, why not show a guy how smart you are? Most of the times when I've approached guys I end up saying something stupid or goi...

Since I was a child I have been picky. When my parents and I went out for Chinese I would literally only eat rice with soy sauce! As I've gotten older I've tried more things, expanding my tastes. Despite this I still cannot eat most fruit (why do most fruits have such strange textures?! I gag!), col...

I 100% understand how you feel. I know I'm smart and a capable human being but I can barely keep enough energy to clean regularly (let alone the zillion other things I need/want to do) with my somewhat low stress full time job. I think I have the same tendency to focus on only one thing at a time as...
