I think there's a lot of stuff that might suggest Steven is autistic. He seems to do some stimming-type behaviors (like humming, wiggling his fingers/drumming his fingers and hands on things, etc.) sometimes. Plus, the stuff that was mentioned. In the most recent season he's changed a bit as the sho... |

I don't know if the show creators have ever really addressed that, to be honest. I've always assumed (and have heard others assume) that it's just because the physical forms that gems take tend to look like human females, and so humans sort of assumed that gems were female based on the way they look... |

I watched a few Let's Plays but never picked it up for myself. The idea looked interesting (I like the idea of getting to explore a house and trying to learn about the family that lived there based on their possessions, the layout of the home, etc.) but from what I saw it didn't seem to have quite .... |

I think posting this under LGBT Discussion is likely to skew results. People who are LGBT are more likely to see this topic and take the survey rather than heterosexual people. Yeah, that's definitely true, unfortuately. The demographics of the people who have taken the survey are certainly not rep... |

Yup. There's probably like five or so games that I play regularly, and I replay them over and over again. I've been playing Skyrim since it came out five years ago, and even though I've done pretty much everything that I could possibly do with the game, I still play it pretty often. I always find it... |

Skyrim is one of my favorite games ever purely for how well it does the open world thing. There are so many locations in the game world that exist purely to be explored -- there's no associated quest or no real "reason" for you to go there, but it's something interesting to discover while ... |

Malek's shirtlessness might not be exactly "accurate" according to the type of character he's playing, that's true . . . but I have to say, I don't exactly mind. |

Ah, I adore that show. Mostly because I love Rami Malek and everything he does, but the show itself is so incredibly well-made. Really interesting visually with the framing of its shots, and such. I'm never bored during an episode. I never really thought of the main character before as being an aspi... |

I can definitely relate. I have an incredibly hard time staying in touch with people, even people that I genuinely like and feel close to, and frequently go for days or up to a week at a time without responding to texts, messages, emails, etc. Sometimes I find it helps to simply tell the person that... |

What you describe does sound somewhat similar to what I experience when I dissociate, but without the feeling of being in some kind of false or alternate reality, as you mentioned. I've never known depression to cause hypersensitivity, however. But, yes, like CaptLasik said, it sounds like a respons... |

I looked into making the study easier to read/fill out on mobile but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a lot of support for the Google Forms app when it comes to changing or restructuring the questions. I'll keep poking around the internet to see if anyone has any solutions to this problem, but... |

Sorry to hear you've been struggling. I've been living with depression since 2010. I didn't seek help for most of that period; I was busy with school, and under the impression that I could just "push through" it, even though I was experiencing intense anxiety, meltdowns, occasional dissoci... |

The social anxiety that I have (related partially to being on the spectrum, but also just because I'm an anxious person) certainly makes dating difficult. It's pretty rare that I relate to another person in any sort of significant way -- that, and I wasn't really around any other LGBTQ folks until c... |
