Your Empathy Quotient score was 21 out of a possible 80. Scores of 30 or less indicate a lack of empathy common in people with Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. Higher scores indicate greater levels of empathy. But my comment on that is that I seem to be able to display the sort of empathy most people ... |

Now diagnosed, but if a new DSM were ever to drop me off the spectrum, I could probably be described as neurodiverse anyway. BTW, the neurological assessment was done in my home country. |

I'm continually struck by the isolation of people communicating by smart devices. I really need a good natter myself, F2F. |

It has often been said by some that they feel like they are living on the wrong planet? And I wouldn't wish to dispute that many here genuinely feel that way. It's just that it recently occurred to me that I'm probably on the right planet, given my apparent propensity for uncreativeness and unimagin... |

Well there obviously are other people on the spectrum in Thailand, but you will be very lucky if anyone will respond to say so. The suspicion is of course totally understandable, but it makes this old timer wonder just a bit whether there is any chance of an online understanding friendship here in o... |

Very familiar ground. So much so that I sometimes wonder if I'm just imagining my saying something, but that no one else inhabits the same dream. But the interesting thing is this very morning a colleague mentioned that he felt the same way about the very same people who I feel don't listen to me. I... |

The most recent diagnosis was made by the receptionist. The verdict was we don't want foreign patients because they take up too much time, which deflects us from making money with local patients. The specialist was at no point consulted by the receptionist, but it was pretty obvious he had previousl... |

Yes, but the answer to all known ailments is usually and eventually a warm boot, a cold boot, a virus check, a reload, a reformat, a new hard-drive or a new machine. |

A doctor did it to me yesterday and i reacted a bit strangely, as is normal with me. But as we were talking about a referral to someone who could diagnose, it's just possible she was deliberately gauging my reaction. In fairness, it is something that both male and female doctors do regularly as reas... |

Well, I have been diagnosed with none of those listed in the poll. The only thing I really know is that I had near fatal jaundice at 2-3 years old. Although that diagnosis was never really firm either. (No one in rural areas on my country had heard of autism or some of the rarer metabolic disorders ... |

I display a few characteristics that might possibly be labelled as autistic, but half suspect that the label aspie (or high-functioning ASD) probably doesn't really fit me, and it's a bit like a nickname I would prefer not to use for myself. I've had a few thoughts I might be ASDish since the sevent... |
