"My issue is that I can apologize but my girlfriend will say something to the effect of if you were sorry you wouldn't do that. I feel I have set myself up with some double standard with her where I am accepting of her struggles and there for her, but I don't feel like she reciprocates the acce...

Hi everyone, looking for advice and opinions! My ex partner and I have both been diagnosed with ASD since splitting up nearly a year ago. We were together for nearly 10 months. I have one son, he has two. He was going through his divorce settlement at the time we were together, plus we were trying t...

My ex did this to me, and the minute he felt let down by me the whole relationship dynamic changed. We ended up splitting a few months later. He has since found out he's on the spectrum.

I don't mean to hijack your post, I am getting assessed next month. Someone suggested writing a blog so I have tried to write a bit, it's all over the place, if anyone can give me some feedback I'd really appreciate it, a month seems a lifetime to wait. And from what I've read the experts on ASD are...

I'm a single Mum, have been since the day I found out I was pregnant. At no point in my pregnancy did I consider looking for a relationship - it seems odd to me that any pregnant woman would? Takes all types to make the world go around I guess. My son's father is not in the picture at all, my son is...

I know this is an old post but I relate so much to what you said :)

Yes! I love salt. Sometimes I feel like I crave it. Certain foods I need to put salt on before I eat them like rice.

No, no trouble driving if I know where I am going. I can get very stressed if I don't have clear directions though. I have to screen shot the GPS directions and study them before I leave as I find taking the verbal instructions from the GPS hard to follow as I'm not good at judging distance (e.g. I ...

I really dislike shoes! I'm a woman who is 6' tall with large feet. I understand the need for covered shoes at work for safety, but if I can get away with wearing sandals or thongs (I think they're referred to at flip-flops in other countries?) I will! I don't like my feet being covered unless it's ...

Learn to find humor in it all. Perhaps dark humor, but nonetheless... Appreciate the rich irony that is yelling "PLEASE STOP YELLING!!" For the umpteenth time. Enjoy the humor of the fact that, the more you need personal space, the more they need to crawl up your butt. I'm sure you've exp...

Hi all, thank you for your replies. I think I have made myself out to be someone who rages all the time. I don't. It usually stems from being misunderstood (or perceived to be) over a period of time, it builds up, stress is another trigger, again over a period of time to the point I blow. I find com...

I'm new here, this is my first post. I am not diagnosed as being on the spectrum but am getting assessed in August. After researching about Aspergers because I believed my ex boyfriend had it (diagnosed now that he does) I looked into female traits out of curiosity and it was like I was reading all ...
