Hi Golda, I can relate to everything you've said. I've experienced inappropriate incidents in medical settings especially. And managed to escape some potentially dangerous situations. With dating I had the same struggles as you and am still clueless about body language, so can't really give any tip...

Hi everyone, Your local autist here who misses all social cues. I struggle so much with dating contexts precisely because the seduction occurs "outside"/"before" any actual first date, so the road to getting there is steep. Is brushing my back a "sign"? It could be an a...

I relate to this very much... Especially about the teenage years aspect of it. I think it is the 'non-sharing' of interests with people of my age group that creates this impression. Being reminded everywhere that you should be doing this or that, like this stuff, etc. enhances the idea that we don't...

I discovered philosophy in a classroom while everyone else was bored to death. The first lesson featured a very vivid narrative from Plato and it struck me as fascinating. I wanted to learn more, became obsessed, and the rest is just me being the department weirdo at university.

Of the few oddities, I have noticed:

- I am told the way I walk is strange. I have a bouncy walk and walk on my toes a bit.
- I have a child-like voice.
- Leg-bouncing.
- I have a very stiff posture.

I think it cannot be dealt with mechanically (sadly). I think I struggle with it as well - what I do is that I generally look into someone's eyes when I start a conversation, and then I start looking at their chest (it does get embarrassing). I am hyperaware of OTHER people's eyes though and althoug...

I am new to the website and I like the concept very much! 1. I am a polyglot. 2. I love running. The slower, but the longer - the better. 3. I am Jewish but I love christmas sweaters. 4. My favourite season is fall, preferably in Canada because the colours are great. 5. I like to create expressions....

Thank you! My favourite plays are Othello and Hamlet. I think that they are excellently structured and the themes are almost out of time! I also love symbolism in his plays, and my favourite character is Friar Lawrence from Romeo and Juliet. Do you have favourites?

Hello to everyone on this forum, I am Golda, I am 19 years old and I am seeing a counsellor at my university for Asperger's syndrome. My family is very small and not very supportive/understanding. I do not yet have a formal diagnosis from my counsellor because I have just begun going to sessions. I ...
