Not to be harsh but you keep asking this, do you what you think is best. No one can say over the internet whether you should or shouldn't because we don't know you so how can we tell you what is best? Universities in the UK allow calculators in exams, so this should alleviate some anxiety. You could...

IT IS REFERRING TO SOCIAL IMAGINATION (I.E. ABILITY TO SEE ALTERNATE OUTCOMES) not creative imagination.

My dad has AS and his sister some traits...she insisted that the vegetable soup was to be drained every time they had it and because she was the eldest she got her way, with her brothers having liquid instead of soup :P

I expected my father to deny my AS as he dislikes talking about disabilities of any sort, he didn't to my surprise and it has actually brought us closer, probably because he has it too (his words not mine). I also have a cousin with HFA, so that could be part of the reason as well.

Creative ability has never been in dispute. However, we are said to have difficulty with social imagination, but certainly not creative.

Realistically, I think everyone needs to keep an open mind when it comes to 'media stories', as they have a tendency to portray only one side of the story. We do not know all the details, only what the media choose to tell us, for example, she may have a history of severe mental illness, we do not k...

DEFINITELY! The one thing EVERYONE agrees is that YOUNG kids have some things a lot easier. Luckily, the brain stays plastic FAR longer than they used to claim, but lack of challenge can triple or quintuple the likelyhood of diseases like alzheimers. Please can you do some proper research before yo...

You said you were diagnosed with a personality disorder. I don't think they are considered NTs. "Personality disorder" is a loaded term. It carries with it a lot of negative connotations. And it's not quite as ennobling and redeeming as "asperger's syndrome." In fact, it's totally and 100% degradin...

Why don't you go on the aspie dating site, you might have more luck there. Personally, I wouldn't worry about the fact that your friends are getting more attention than yourself, looks fade.

I can cook, remembering to do so, however, poses more of a problem! I have to remind myself to eat and when I do put something on to cook (in the oven) it usually ends up in flames...one of my flatmate's has had to throw my food out of the window twice due to it being on fire  Everyone constan...

Labpet is right, they vary from one individual to the next and are hard to describe, let alone define. A 'meltdown' for me is when I lose the capacity to speak or do anything at all and involves screaming, lashing out (at others and myself), crying uncontrollably and then sleeping for a very long ti...

Mikomi, There is little point in trying to get a diagnosis of dyscalculia as an adult as it won't contribute to anything (e.g. employment) and just confirm you have difficulty with numbers or so people perceive it. It is usually picked up during early primary school (although, not as successfully as...

Interestingly, Woodpeace, you do not make mention of the 'classic signs' pertinent to a diagnosis of childhood schizophrenia, such as the psychotic symptoms. A marginal amount of evidence document such, with respect to ASDs. Of course there is overlap, the same is true for practically every conditio...

What's the point in hating yourself? More to the point, why are you making such a distinction between NT and ASD, granted as a person with Asperger's syndrome, yes, life is very difficult, but it is for everyone, regardless of the label attached. (The lady (NT) who was forced to kill her child, watc...

You could always seek a second opinion. There are no right or wrong answers where such things are concerned, and any respectable psychologist or psychiatrist would not have based their decision on a single answer.
